hmm no offence but when the game start sent forge and other vehicles/marines up the hill first to take over the first base , it should be enough to take over, you don't need to use any tanks at all

i have to missions left of halo wars on legendary, this and the kast one. will i get the heroic achievement as well as halo 3 does it? or will it just be the legendary achievement and i have to go through this on heroic as well?

To answer the Shield Question, the Covenant don't start off with Shields, but you can research it as an upgrade. I think it is like the Protoss where it takes awhile for the Shields to regenerate.

I think the Locust already comes with Shields, if I remember. It's been awhile since I played HW
