It's a JVC Everio HDD It's got its own hard drive. It's kind of a workout uploading editing everything. But the quality is much better than my previous piece of crap!

Trucker Steve ( Whitelinefilms) helped me out with my questions that I had with what he was using etc. I bought a slightly different model than his,....But he steered me in the right direction for what I was looking for. I also had to invest in a different editing program too! Sony Vegas 9 Pro. Tough 2 learn at 1st. But good!

I'm sure that the prices have come down a bit now. I bought mine at Best Buy. I went on line & saw these on sale, I called the store & they sent me to Madison where they had them in stock. They were not on sale on the shelf, They were going to charge me full price,..But I told them that I saw them online on sale,...Whew! Saved me almost $200. I picked it up last fall at the time on sale for a little under $800

Well, I realy hadn't giv'n that a thought. There was one time when I was shooting video of a train that was over a mile away from me at the time. I zoomed in & I could almost read the number boards (units #'s above the windshield) So that aought to say something! LOL! 10X optical zoom/AF JVC High Deffinition lenz.
