I'm from europe, Holland. I cross Eindhoven probably once a month. My passing's trough that town have never been the same ever since I saw the series and docu's.
My feelings toward the freedom we enjoy have never been the same. The feeling you never thought about while rushing through life, freedom was just always there somehow. But I've learned from these man from easy company, that our freedom isn't as normal as we know it, people died for it, many people. Honor easy company, honor freedom!
I counted 4 that have passed on in this vid....nothing but honour for these men....And i want everyone to VOTE HERE to get major WINTERS the Medal of Honour.!!!!
I read the book long before I saw the movie. These men were TOUGH ! My heart weeps for them and what they went through for us. Thank you seems like such a small thing to say . We all need to say it many times .
We, as Americans owe our way of life to these men. I would like to say thanks, but that would not be enough. Our great country owes a debt to you men that can never be paid. I pray for a time when wars will be no more, but more so I pray for a time when men who fight in war are honored as the true heroes they are. My generation owes a dept to you all that they will never be able to repay.

GET YOUR HEAD OUT YOUR ASS as much as i love the forces american army did shit for the jews, it was mainly the brits and the french and part of russia who saved them! then american war was with japan not germany!
calv. That is not true. If you see the Band of Brothers series, it shows you that Easy Company liberated camps and even shared their own food with Jewish people. I can't imagine the others doing that.
well don't get me wrong though i do admire the american forces, but all trough the camps allied (not USSR) troop done that, i say not the Ussr cause they are also anti jewish.
calv. The English were also anti-Jewish. Churchill said many things against the Jews in his lifetime. Major Winters and his noble Easy Company was a shining light. They loved the Jewish people, and this is recognized by leading historian Thomas "Tom" Hanks in narrating his legendary war history series "Band of Brothers".
GOD bless you Shifty. Your reward is a fine place in heaven for sure! Bless your family and friends who will miss you so very much. Thanks for what you did for the world!!!

Every young man that servered in the was, dead or alive today is a hearo in my eyes.If anyone who was in the war sees this i speak from the community "We Thank You."
"I cherish the memory of a question my grandson asked me the other day... when he said, 'Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?'........ grandpa said no......... 'But I served in a company of heroes'."
In 2006 & 2007 I served with the Third Army Provost Marshals Office Operation Iraqi Freedom Camp Arifjan. In my position I did not engage in enemy combat but saw the aftermath while in the Contaminated Vehicle Lots and Combat Hospitals of this conflict. the level of losses greatly moved me. I was overwhelmed by the bravery and commitment of the young people (I at 51 was not so young). I saw this before I went but now seeing it again is so differant and more emotional.
With joining the war, the United States of America helped a lot to bring an end to the insane leadership Germany had to suffer under at this time. One day, I will visit the memorials in Normandy to honour all the men from all the involved countries.
They were great men and there still are great men if you think not spend a day at Arlington and watch a couple of funerals and listen to some stories.
There will never be another civilian or military man like Dick Winters. All of his decorations and accomplishments and all he cares about were his men.
i agree, these men are the reason why i want to join the 82nd, i wanted to join the 101st but they are no longer paratroopers, btw does anyone know how to contact any of the surviving members of easy company???????????

I know that Wild Bill had a website and I think if you google some of the others they have places to be e-mailed. They are old now and deserve what ever peace they have, but I guess a thank you would never be turned away and would be appreciated.
Wild Bill and Babe Heffron do tours of places where they fought - its pretty cool to just hear about their lives and just get a different view of what Europe was like 64 years ago. Definitely go if you get the chance.
When did lipton die? I thought he was still with us. I do know John MArtin has died the series, and Bull Randelman has also. Im not to sure of the others
December 16th 2004, ironically it was this date in 1944 the germans started there Ardennes offensive, by the end of this battle lip was suffering with neumoania and he died suffering fro emphasimia.
I am sorry for my english is not very good. My grandpa fought in the Spanish civil war just before the II world war started and all i can say is that these men dont lie, real men and real emotion, ans that's all. Regards from Spain
i think they are heroes i feel bad for them tho they went through hell and back watching their friends die right next to them i respecet these men a lot
It is impossible to thank or praise these men enough. I do not believe the current generations would have the bravery and courage that these ordinary young men found. I am English and have visited some of the military grave sights in France. It mindblowingly sad and extremely humbling to contemplate their sacrifice, on our behalf!
"From this day until the ending of the world.....we in it shall be remembered....we few...we happy few..we band of brothers and he who sheds his blood for me shall be my brother."-William Shakespears Henry V
It saddens me to think how easy people forget what every soldier in WW1 & WW2 did for us. Some schools don't even teach the history of these conflicts so how can the youth of today be expected to rememeber what they owe. A celebrity dies and we have programmes, 2 min silences and a national outpouring of grief. For the 19 or so million allied soldiers that died in these 2 wars we have a min silence once a year.
I, being a kid, agree with you. I think they could do a lot more to teach us about what happend in the war. I for one, take a few minutes out of every morning to remember them. and Truthfully Band of Brothers, and these interviews are the only things that can really make me imagine how it was, and what they went through.
I agree with you, we all owe these men our very freedom, the public is being discrete about this, the public should teach the next generation about the great sacrifice paid for our freedom, our freedom was paid in blood, tears, sweat and toil. 2min silences are not enough. Words cannot describe the sacrifice these ordinary men made in an extraordinary war. The best thing to do is to teach generation after generation about these ordinary men with extraordinary courage and bravery.
my uncle fought in ww2 and i dont think many of you will believe me but he fought at carentan and lost his life trying to save his comrade i never met him but im sure he was a good soldier ='[
Henrry the V whas talking to his men:from this day to the ending of the world. We and it shall be rememberd. We lucky few.We band of brothers for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother band of brothers<3
Very true comments there. But lets not forget Why these particular men died? Murdering Nazi bastards is the real reason. These guys were fighting to rid the world of those bastards, whereas the nazis were fighting for their race and their ideaology ( Spelling ? )

To be honest, I don't think they're heros... They killed men with families, just as they were themselves... But well I guess that all of them always had in mind that their enemies are just the same men as they are... German, American, French... Who cares? I'm German and I've seen many, many old men like these who talked about WW2... They had tears in their eyes, just as these men. And they too called their fallen companions heros. Men who let their lives for a foolish idiot...
Wise up you idiot. These men are heros. They gave their tomorrow so that we could have our today. They never got to feel what life was like without war. The fact is that they were fighting for a just cause. These men are heros, don't try to belittle what they did.
1:50 ........ I didn't think that I would tear up watching this video.

Rest in peace, you men of the Easy Company.
Greetings from a German.

There is a certain amount of insanity in the leadership of any nation. Heroes? Well heroes are what you send to fight battles they did not start.

They were great men and there still are great men if you think not spend a day at Arlington and watch a couple of funerals and listen to some stories.

There will never be another civilian or military man like Dick Winters. All of his decorations and accomplishments and all he cares about were his men.

I know that Wild Bill had a website and I think if you google some of the others they have places to be e-mailed. They are old now and deserve what ever peace they have, but I guess a thank you would never be turned away and would be appreciated.

RIP Lt. Lipton.
Wild Bill and Babe Heffron do tours of places where they fought - its pretty cool to just hear about their lives and just get a different view of what Europe was like 64 years ago. Definitely go if you get the chance.

It is impossible to thank or praise these men enough. I do not believe the current generations would have the bravery and courage that these ordinary young men found. I am English and have visited some of the military grave sights in France. It mindblowingly sad and extremely humbling to contemplate their sacrifice, on our behalf!

Bart2345 4 years ago 9
I, being a kid, agree with you. I think they could do a lot more to teach us about what happend in the war. I for one, take a few minutes out of every morning to remember them. and Truthfully Band of Brothers, and these interviews are the only things that can really make me imagine how it was, and what they went through.
Canabullz 4 years ago
I agree with you, we all owe these men our very freedom, the public is being discrete about this, the public should teach the next generation about the great sacrifice paid for our freedom, our freedom was paid in blood, tears, sweat and toil. 2min silences are not enough. Words cannot describe the sacrifice these ordinary men made in an extraordinary war. The best thing to do is to teach generation after generation about these ordinary men with extraordinary courage and bravery.

Very true comments there. But lets not forget Why these particular men died? Murdering Nazi bastards is the real reason. These guys were fighting to rid the world of those bastards, whereas the nazis were fighting for their race and their ideaology ( Spelling ? )

This comment has received too many negative votes show
To be honest, I don't think they're heros... Men who let their lives for a foolish idiot...
pervertedpaul 4 years ago
Wise up you idiot. These men are heros. They gave their tomorrow so that we could have our today. They never got to feel what life was like without war. The fact is that they were fighting for a just cause. These men are heros, don't try to belittle what they did.
For they shall not grow old,
As we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn.
But at the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.
RIP - Forever Young
