This isn't bad for the time it was made. A great Android 2 competitor, and nearly as good as Android 4. Still, I'd prefer MeeGo or webOS in terms of layout and simplicity (another reason I don't prefer Android).

well i suppose bada isnt beeing developed to be a competition to the major os out there (as long as google plays nice atleast). Probably for low-end devices, where for instance android lags like sh*t... this looks exactly as the TW interface (which is rather a copy of ios) that is used on their galaxy line, that on the other hand has nothing alike with the core Android interface...

@domosification First off, I love Android. But then, remember that "everything is a remix". Of course they copied from Android, it's a very good and well thought OS.
On the other hand, I understant Samsung, it was about time to replace Symbian and I don't think they'll compete with Android.
Still, developers will have a hard time writing different code for 5 mobile OS's: Android, iOS, Bada, Symbian (still used), W7, RIM.
The less features is because it's the first public version and they wanted a quick release to get in the hype. There'll be more, i'm sure... It would be a pity for that 1ghz processor to not get taken advantage of. But it will take time to mature.
The thing that intrigues me is that the hardware of Samsung S8530 Wave II (phone shipped with BADA) is almost the same as a Samsung Galaxy S (I9000), but the Wave is much cheaper. Samsung really wants to push this OS on the market.
@domosification it is a rip-off...but it's more stable, more fluid, and the multitasking does not require a task killer, and you can keep apps closed...if it had the apps from android, it would be better....sadly, bada os is young, and android will just be improving, a shame, bada has potential

The pull-down notification menu bar was originally from bada OS. Buttons in it, including the Wi-fi, bluetooth, silent/sound, auto-orientation buttons were also all from bada OS as well, as you can see in this video.
Another feature would be the widgets, live-wallpaper, etc. To add further, TouchWiz is actually completely from bada and it's integrated into Android.

When you are connected to a wi-fi net, it's free. You don't pay for data transmission. You could prepaid an access from your local wi-fi provider. You suck at life...AMOLED screen does more then simply allow a larger viewing angle. The colors are much better and more vivid. Ik koos om te ruilen voor de volgende redenen: ik wilde af van het beklemmende idee dat ik altijd iTunes nodig had om dingen ( fotos, videos, GEEN documenten , dat was niet mogelijk??? ) op mijn gsm te zetten. Nu heb ik tenminste weer een ECHTE filemanager en bepaal ik wat erop komt :-), verder maak ik graag videos van mijn zoontje. Nou, met de Wave heb je echt NOOIT meer een videocamera nodig! And iphone has best resolution, has hell alot of apps, no lag browsing (everything is not lagging), has GPU that allows to play games at good graphics, u just dont want to agree that iphone beats samsung... And look at samsung galaxy s, it looks like iphone, even android UI (menu) looks like from iphone..

You suck at life...AMOLED screen does more then simply allow a larger viewing angle. The colors are much better and more vivid. As for the resolution that is a software thing, pixel density is the only hardware constraint. And apple does not use an intel processor...the processor in the iphone is made by samsung...dill weed

And about flash, whats the point of it? u want to see adds?, if u want jailbreak iphone and install frash.. about stuck with itunes, so? but if u know how to use it, then its ok.. About expanding memory, whats the point then u have 32 gb inside? wth are u putting to phone if u dont ok with 32gb? HD video pack??

Ben sinds 2 maandjes een trotse bezitter van de Wave. Had hiervoor de iPhone 3gs. Ik koos om te ruilen voor de volgende redenen: ik wilde af van het beklemmende idee dat ik altijd iTunes nodig had om dingen ( fotos, videos, GEEN documenten , dat was niet mogelijk??? ) op mijn gsm te zetten. Nu heb ik tenminste weer een ECHTE filemanager en bepaal ik wat erop komt :-), verder maak ik graag videos van mijn zoontje. Nou, met de Wave heb je echt NOOIT meer een videocamera nodig! Mensen DOEN!
