Kanon in D was written by German composer Johann Pachelbel 1653-1706. JerryC did an arrangement for guitar (a good one) but Funtwo took it to new heights which is why his version became the most popular vid on YouTube.

There are no mistakes: he wrote the fucking song. I think he knows how to play his own composition Obviously most of you have seen FunTwo's vid: it SAYS JerryC is the original composer.

On top of that, I don't think FunTwo can even keep up with this guy. FunTwo's version is clean, but TOO clean--it doesn't have the grit that Jerry's original does. And that is probably the best part about it.

my opinion is that theyre both good, but they have good and bad parts in the song. jerryc does awesome sweeps slightly better than funtwo, both of their harmonics are still good, jerryc made less mistakes, jerryc arranged it so if he didn't arange it probably funtwo wouldn't have learned it. but all in all theyre both equal in my opinion.

"CANON IN D MAJOR" is a musical piece that was written by Johann Pachelbel around the year 1680. Now it has the accepted name "Pachelbel's Canon."

"CANON ROCK" is a guitar song written by JerryC that is highly based off of Pachelbel's Canon. It is basically "CANON IN D MAJOR" played on the guitar and given a rock-music sound.
