Is there any way you could contact me at wpmwest@comcast .net or 765-215-7979 as to info on your leg.I am anak that would love to run again . Thanks , Mike Westervelt
Hi I'm a RAK living in the UK and I'm just learning to run, could you please tell me what knee and foot your using. Oh and if your interested why not pop over to Facebook Amputees it's a small group I have going with some great members. I'm also into mountain biking ...... good luck
Hey Glenn, its will here! I asked this guy a similar question a while ago but got no reply. If you want i can forward you on an email that i got off a guy called John Mcfall who is a Paralympics runner. In the email he gave me some advice on knee units and stuff if you are interested.
Hi there Will, oh yeah any info is greatly appreciated, howz your running going btw? I'm hoping to get a good running foot or at least something with a bit better energy storing qualities than my present setup, it's just so dead and i don't really run, it's more of a hop skip and a thud lol ;)
he is using the Otto bock 3r46 knee and in this video he is running with the Otto bock running foot.Although he has switched to the cheeta from ossur.I'm his prosthetist. good luck have fun
Oh thank you ever so much for your reply. All this info is great. I'm currently trying to learn to run, it's very difficult as my limb is dead,as in no spring. I'm hoping that when i go back to my limb centre they will see that I am genuinely trying and see me as worthy of investing in, both equipment and time wise.
im a RAK AND i just got a running leg also but i cant make it look natural the way you do. when i run u cant keep the prostectic right in front of me the way you do.
i was actually born with a birth defect... originally i was a below the knee amputee, but about 2 and a half years ago i had to have my knee fused, so now im an above the knee amp.
also, there is another video somebody else put up... i think its titled 'warrens first race'... but im the ak with the white top/red shorts. the video was taken in atlanta at the us paralympic nationals last summer. i was running on my walking leg back then because i wasnt ready to switch over to the sprinting foot that im on here.

Are you planning on going to Atlanta this year? I hopefully will be there. I'm a RAK in San Diego. What is your fastest 100m time?
casanovaof619 4 years ago
you should come to the clinics that we do
nick's fastest time is 15.1 on his walking leg. he is stilling learning on the running leg and hasn't been race timed on that yet.
