Cannot get the same website that shows on the utube video. I get a Google list of other stuff that is not related to what I see on the video. How can I get the same website as I see on the video??

I tired with the new windows live mail but does not work. Can you add yahoo accounts on there?

@LuxuriousLuxembourg Yahoo mail will not work unless you have the yahoo plus subscription and it's $19.99 per year. No mail client will work with out one.

Can we remove the trash and spam folders of gmail from windows live mail.

All the spam and trash message also get downloaded as folder for the same is created

do any body know how to remove this folders from windows live mail ?

I love WLM way better that outlook express. Gmail and Hotmail work great. Except yahoo.

I really hate Windows Live so far. Seems to have too many bugs, such as drafts disappearing after they're saved. Also when you send a message, even though you DON'T have send messages automatically checked, it sometimes seems to send them after a few seconds anyway.

And during the times when I "can" grab them back again in the few seconds before it sends, I can't edit them after opening them because there's no edit key.

This will probably be a nice program one day but don't like it yet.

I just installed Windows 7 and had no choice but to install a third party email. I happen to like this a lot better than Thunderbird...and I am a long time Mozilla supporter. I'm just wondering where my "send/receive" button is.

Send/Receive is now "Sync" Jack, although I'm not sure if Sync sends mail it does retrieve it.

One question though, what are the benefits in using IMAP instead of POP3?

I see a lot of email client tut vids with people using IMAP but it's never said why.

Thanks, I did figure it out after I posted this messege. I can only speak for myself but I prefer hotmail these days over a pop account for the simple reason of having a back up for all my mail, address book and calender. I can format my PC re-install windows and Live mail and it's like it was always there

Thats the wole poit of this software. It stores your e-mails in your hatrdive so u dob't have to be connected to th web to look at them

Hi har1f, I think I managed to do this by going into my gmail account and renaming all my labels so that they begin with '[Gmail]/' (assuming you followed the instructions above). Now when I refresh the folder in Windows Live Mail, it picks up all the gmail folders and your filters set in gmail should continue to work...let me know if this is the same for you as I'm only just trying this.

thanks for the great video..one small problem, whenever I delete a mail from inbox (Gmail) the mail goes to 'All Mail' instead of 'Trash'..how do I fix that?

Hey Rich - can you use a msn account to use this or does it have to be a live/hotmail account?

If it uses the Hotmail interface you should be able to use it without issue in this client - however I can't confirm that because I don't have an e-mail that ends in msn. Hotmail and Live are however confirmed to work. The worst thing that could possibly happen is that it won't accept the e-mail login, so try it and see what happens.

Well at least Microsoft finally delivered a newer version of the Outlook Express client in the form of Windows Live Mail. Mozilla Thunderbird needs to do some catch-up. Their client is older and uses *way* too much system resource for just e-mail.

It's the default skin that comes with the client. You can change the colors similar to the way you can in Windows Media Player 11.
