  • who was that tune by?

  • Sheesh!!...everyone is providing "negative" feedback...i agree with the positive words mentioned!!

I think he has his own grimey style of b-boy design. this is stuff you'd find in a hip hop magazine right? no need to be that polished but i would suggest you find different "moods"...like take a landscape pic, trace it out, scan it in, work with some gradients and colors first...NO TEXT..try that and upload ....send it to me and i'll watch !!

    Whatever you do.....dont quit!!

  • This post was three and half years ago. Have you increased your skills yet?

  • WOw I must say people are defenelty real cruel here.

  • im a graphic designer as well, and yes practice does make perfect. I agree you most definetly need hi resolution images so your work can come out crisp. You need to also learn about color balance as well. But I think you will do great , just need to work harder to get where you want to be, I really wouldnt charge just yet until you can honestly say that your work is tip top. Go to your graphic design teachers, friends, to help you as well.

    Best Wishes ,

    Aimee

  • instead of hatin try giving some knowledgeable input. Everyone has to f*ckin start somewhere..give this man a break. Don't like it? Don't LOOK pimpin! simple asshole

  • YOW Brother that's a good one just keep it practice every single day always conceptualize your ideas :)

  • Theres 2:36 minutes ill never get back .

  • not all of it's bad, keep doing it dude, the more you dive into this field the easier it gets. look around you when you riden, design is everywere. if you design because you enjoy it, there can be alot of money to be made. yeah, and all you need is the drive to make it, you dont have to go too school, many designers are self taught.

  • KID, GO PRO FIRST AND THEN MAKE A PORTFOLIO. Try to go to any design school, cuz there are a lot of mistakes in your "artwork".

  • Damn your work is trash..... need more practice, more typography, more training in photoshop cs5, my son is 10 and can do better then that man. Take this advice, GO BACK TO SCHOOL, YOU CAN DO IT! but no like that. Try Savannah College of Art and Design, University of Louisville, Art Academy of Cincinnati, University of Saint Louis, or San Fan. Plus you mess Lil Wanye face up..... what software are you using, you make graphic design look bad..... what where you thinking?

  • Need more practice

  • tuuuuuuuune

  • Some tips from me. Go to a art school and learn from there. You really will have to focus on everything there. Don't take it as a joke. I'm not trying to rip you one, but just take it as advice. I see what you're trying to put out but you need a lot of work.

And never set prices until you are in the career fully. It will hurt you in the end.

  • with my work so you can see what i mean. another thing is unity. most of these images are just two or three other images pasted together. watch some more tutorials but you need to develop your own style.

  • there is very little "design" in any of the images. try to create a composition before you start pulling pictures together. a lot of the images look like they are simply pasted on, so i would suggest working on your layer masks. layer masks are a very effective way to blend images together. from there you can work on color, a lot of the images you made have a very distracting color range to them. also, graphic design is not about putting one filter on an image. i'm gonna post a vid shortly

  • My god.. these are all trash...

  • One word to describe this.. GHETTO. Ugh, it's trash

  • I'm sorry, but this is not good at all. Type, layout, design...Needs help.

  • For an amateur, you're pretty talented it.

  • @AtumGraphics

What! this is trash.... My son can do better then that with a purple marker and some paper......lol

  • I really liked the image at 1:56.

  • I'm sorry but....its not really that good at all....maybe you should re-think about your career choice dude...graphic design is a very tough and competive field...I just want to save you from wasting more of your time...thats all....

  • Comment removed

  • Oh! my God, don't get offended but it's obvious that you didn't go to college to study design.

  • haha

  • if you are planning to become a graphic designer you should rethink your choice because people like that with no or little talent make it hard for the passionate graphic artists to getjobs.

  • @backbite1 I disagree. I think that if anybody wants to be an employable graphic designer, all they need is practice and some feedback. To the person who've made this video, I see that graphic design interests you. Well, take some courses and do lots of practice.

  • im srry to be so mean but i get really pissed off when lil runts who just learned how to use the lasso tool in photoshop runnin round thinkin they are graphic designers...graphic design takes time, patience skill, and determination. all of the pieces i saw must of took under 3 hours... or less...some even about 20 mins or so...

  • @backbite1 LOL, by reading your comment, I've just learned one of the mistakes that I've been making as of late. Thanks.

  • A word of advice if your putting together a portfolio try to vary the styles that you choose to present. Everything I've seen in that video looks..ok if I were a client looking into making a rap cd or a line of urban shoes. Infact stay far away from the hiphop urban gangster stuff if you ever make another portfolio, the same thing that's killing the hiphop industry will kill your portfolio. Generic, overplayed, non artistic, non original , easy to forget only aimed at certain groups.

  • this isn't really design, its just a collection of 'stuff' youve clagged together with photoshop.

  • Nice designs what software do you have for your designs and where can the software be bought. Peace

  • Are you Blind?

  • this is basic graphic fesign

  • word of advice from a fellow GD. less is more!!

  • i don't see any talent yet, but keep working everybody starts at the bottom

  • whats the name of the song?

  • good for a starter

    hehehehe

  • Yea Very Pro!? Well not really Using windows movie maker is not being pro, but thats how i started!. Well keep it au and well see if on year or two this bitches keep talking shit about your work! Trust me i know so.

Well keep it up and good luck man!

  • Nossa, coitados de nós, os designers!

  • I think you you should become a shoe designer... I love your Nike designs, I would wear them. . even if they were made using paint...

  • yO... fuCk jealOusy... i dOn't see any linkS to any of those shit talkerS pOrtfOlioS.. SO what yOu dOn't have muCh COmputer SOftware experienCe... yOu're Seeing paSt a photograph... and adding whatever... I Say.. "if yOu Can lOok paSt a piCture to add or remOve, yOu're thinking it can be wOrSe in a better way".. gOod wOrk with yOur yOutube vid.. a pOrtfOliO iS a pOrtfOlio...

  • what the fuck is with the random capitals....

  • Haha. Looks like you've mastered Microsoft Paint.

  • trash but what do i know

  • don't limit yourself to only digital media, experiment a lot with textures, typography, photography, anything! As Aiizaku said, learn the rules as a basic guideline but learn to break them as well. Try and learn about typography as well, since type can make all the difference. Also, take into consideration positive and negative space, Color theory, basic composition, etc.

    Less is more!

you don't need to overwhelm your designs with useless or flashy things in order for them to have impact.

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooow this is shitttt

  • I give you and A!!

Yes, you surely are a MASTER using... paint?

Come on! You can't expect us to give you beautiful compliments if you only show us this crap.

Btw, the A if for fucking AMATEUR.:D

  • Screw the "pros" and what they say, right now they are trying to master making stuff "LOOK" amature. Yes you need work, but like everyone else digital is still an experimental age. No one has set the rules. Be picky, make it clear what your intentions are. If you wnat that urban look take a look at the hood and the people that represent it and if you can take some tips from YESiLikeme and learn about the basic fundamentals of design, so then you can BREAK them, intentionally.

  • dude, straight up, you are garbage. this is amateur shit to the fullest. You actually have prices set? ha! for what? So you're a talented designer huh?

  • EAT A DICK

  • @HustlaMuzikEnt : work hard cuz it pays off. you may not be a pro, but if people pay you: so be it. More power to you. DREAM-CREATE-REPEAT. BHolsey aka "Cracka Smile"

  • Needs more typography, work more in indesign and illustrator. Photoshop for photos not text, looks cheezy.

  • BITE ME BITCH

  • @awakesince80 hell yeah hahahahhah he mad as shit now!!

  • Looks good. I like the one at 0:28 .

  • practise a lot and live it

    also experimnt a lot

  • You have the creative message from what I see, but, it doesnt come across crisp. The more practice, the better your style of working will be, and once you have a signature style, it gets easier. Looks like your having fun with it, thats gd. One key piece of advice is, make sure you ALWAYS use good quality images, no one can make crappy images look cool.

Take it easy, you got so much potential

  • THANK U

  • u need to be more profesional and not come across so ............ to get some business.its no

  • .....u knw wut ur doin in programs like photoshop....but ur mssg needs 2 come across clearer, like tie into each other, such as lighting and texture....esp in the pic wit the gurl on the money....and the quality of the cam makes all the difference, a hot design wit a pic thaat looks like it was taken with a .25 mega pixel cam is garbage because the quality...but im still learning too, im n school 4 it...if u ever need help or anything let me knw.

  • keep practicing... alot... you make complete garbage now, but youll probably get better with time.

  • I see skill in using the programs like photoshop and illustrator, but not alot of design elements were included. Didn't look to professional to me.

  • Thankz 4 statin ur opinion & givin advice =]

i appreciate it & i understand you i'm still learning but i'mma learn
