Apparently the White Army which my grandfather was a Col. was not given the means to carry out their victory over the evil red army that's why many Russians went to the Germans because of the Civil War 1921 - starvation etc. If only the Germans had treated the Russians better they could have won the war!

@napajedlacek Actually, from what I've studied America and England both tried to stop the Bolshevics. Even back then both of our nations had an powerful fear of communism. The first American "Red Scare" took place after the Soviet Union became a state. The second Red Scare is the one people are more familiar with because it is more recent in history. America had fewer problems with the Tsars than with the Reds.

He had thought it was a very interesting idea and he had loved it himself. He simply did not want to destroy the power the Tsar had at the time. It may have only taken another generation or a few more before Russia had gained a government similar to the Parliamentary style that Britain used.

I will admit that they did have a brilliant General in Alexey Brusilov. his offensive, which was a diversion, was the most sucessful offensive of any allied power. in fact, the main offensive was so weak that it couldn't even pin down german troops, and prevent them from stoping Brusilov

It seems to me that support for the White Russian cause has risen considerably since I joined last summer. When I first signed up, there was only one tribute to the White Russian Heros.
