This is a follow up from about a year ago. I found the VenomII's sucked for power compared to Slingshot Rev's for kitesurfing, so ditched the 10,13,16 Venoms for 11m & 15m Slingshot Rev's and an 8m Slingshot RPM....Way better.
Well the PL Twin Skins are less powerful than many kites of equal size due to their arc shape meaning their projected size is smaller. I think the 13m Venom II has just 9m projected. I don't fly these Twin Skins very often anymore. I recently bought a Flysurfer Speed 3 15m, if you think the slingshot is powerful you really should try a flysurfer. Not only is power way better but also upwind performance, lift and hangtime. In my opinion the best kite available at the moment.
I bought a kite surfing board last year but have yet to get to the coast for lessons, also tried land boarding and buggying but only on a little 3.5m Flexifoil bullet.
I've never tried the Phantom, do you think the Phantom has more lift, I don't thnk it does, the phantom has better upwind performance though. The new Scorpion (I think its called) that replaces the Venom range is very agressive, to scary for me, I only weigh in at 10.5 st (66kg.) I also fly a 19m Venom but to be honest you can get better jumps on the 13m as the 19m is very hard to hold back until you're ready to jump and loses speed as a result.
There mega kites the Venom's, you ever tried the phantom range? They have got a lot more lift to them.. I want a Venom II's they are hybrid's of the lifty Phantoms & the float of the Venom's the perfect combo, you guys tried boarding/bugging with it yet?

the more you can go up to the wind, the higher AR usually, and longer airtime+bigger. think logic
