you dont need an external wastegate to have a screamer pipe. i have one( a screamer pipe) and still run an internal wastegate, sounds louder to me.

i'm running a screamer pipe of my starlet gt turb.

its a tiny little CT9 turbo but i just got a decat and fabricated it to be almost 2 pipes one for the exhuast and a one inch pipe dividing the internal waste gate off from the exhuast flow.

thing is it sounds like a spitfire and people hear me coming from a mile away. PC PLOD took it off me though lol.

screamer pipes are more high pitch tone.

No. A dump valve/blow off valve releases the compressed air from the turbo when you back off. its like a woosh. The screamer is exhaust, so it sounds like an exhaust leak.

Ahhh It's just exhaust gases bypassing the turbine via the wastegete out into the atmosphere... so its just like a lil wxhaust pipe but instead of coming from the manifold, it comes from the external wastegate! thanx for the tip mate:)

That was homo, sounded like he was running all of 10 psi. Screamers are only good if you're running big boost, so you get a bit of lag then all of a sudden FKN BANG car is sideways and making crazy amounts of noise. Noise + slow acceleration is just gay, you might as well be in a stock Civic with a cannon.
