I've applied to Durham University in the UK and someone told me that the two universities are partners in "study abroad" programs yet I've found little evidence online to suggest so. Does anyone know anything about this? I haven't emailed them asking yet.
Dartmouth is very committed to need-blind admissions and will do their best to get you a financial package you can afford. I know because I would not have been able to go without it.
Every time I feel a little bit tired . . .a little bit disappointed . .I see this video . .This vidao infuses me with the chase of the dreamscore on GMAT and a potential admission to TUCK business school. . . .Hope y dreams will prove real sometime. . .
I spent 5 yrs in Hanover studying my PhD at Dartmouth. I love the scenes at Dartmouth so much, espcially the night view of the Baker Library! Sometime duirng the mid of october, the whole upper valley surrounding Dartmouth is covered with reddish maple trees. I miss it so much! Now, I am fully aware of why Dartmouth is such a wonderful school. It was mainly Daniel Webster, who made Dartmouth so special. "It is, Sir, as I have said, a small college. And, yet, there those who love it."
A very well made aerial overview of this pleasant looking town, and College, however, I think you should clarify your title, to "Dartmouth, USA", Dartmouth is a lovely town at the mouth of the river Dart, in England.
@yyyzzzz Actually, it should be "Dartmouth College". Dartmouth is in a town called Hanover. There is a Dartmouth USA, but that town is in a whole different state. And yes, Dartmouth is originally English. College was in fact named after the 2nd Earl of Dartmouth (lord of the original town Dartmouth in England) who funded the School under a Royal Charter from George the 3rd while America was still a british colony. Tells you how old this place is (by US standards). I still miss it everyday.
dartmouth is known as dartmouth college but it has an engineering school, business school, and medical school. therefore it is a university, but it is known as a college.
@brokenairguitar you are absolutely correct! It is called a college for the same reason the 101 Airborne is called "Airborne" even though it's "Air Assault". It's out of tradition and esprit d'corp.
@SterlThePearl67 Technically, Dartmouth IS a university... since it encompasses a graduate program (PhDs, MALS, ME, MD, MBA, MA, MS, etc). But we like to focus on the "college" aspect of the school. We are very sensitive when it comes to the nomenclature!
wow! very nice campus. great school.

@Warisover100
Call the admissions office and inquire about "need blind admissions" and read about the financial aid opportunities for lower-income families!

Technically, Dartmouth is a college not a university.
We're rather sensitive to that! XD
