  • to rasjvon, the mandolin player is the guitar player's dad and taught him to play guitar and mandolin, so i doubt they want to shoot him. most mandilin and guitar players can't hold a candle to mr tolbert. and the great thing about bluegrass is it is seldom played exactly the same, note for note, every kickoff and break. if it was, it would be boring, like the dixie chicks. i'm looking forward to jamming at barry's this year

  • This is awesome... but, The Dixie Chicks will always play it best.

  • maybe the "mando" guy can just do the driving tot he next jammy----these other dudes wanna shoot him

  • teach the mandolin player the intro-

  • @rasjvon it wuz different both times he played it lol...but great jam guys!

  • @mattcarb learn it the right way? i am just trying to be critical couch potato guy---monroe!!!!

  • @rasjvon im sorry, but although this is an awesome rendition, NO ONE comes close to Bill's version, he is teh shit

  • @mattcarb mike compton and sam bush and david grisman and so many others play it one way----praise Bill and correct intros everywhere

  • @rasjvon amen brother

  • @rasjvon Amen brother...but i must say, Andy Leftwich can play that fiddle man!

  • I still love Glen Tolbert's playing !!!

    Billy Sandlin

  • I'm using a Sony HDR-SR11 that records in 5.1 surround sound. It cuts out a lot of the crowd stuff. The HD video along with the sound is awesome on a home system.

  • I was at a thing like this this year too... either you have a much better directional microphone, or your crowd is much quieter about listening to the musicians!
