I've owned the Mr1 for about a year and here is an overview: Pros: Cheap Sturdy: 90% metal parts Reliable: I have never had the gun jam in a game Easy to disassemble Cons: Heavy: after a day of paintball, your arms are tired. Inaccurate with the stock barrel The stock is useless: It is too small and awkward. Overall a good entry level gun.

I got a MR1 and am planning on buying a tippmann a-5. I say this gun is good. its cheap and basic. all you need to start paintballing. I do recommend that if there is one upgrade you would get for this gun it would have to be a proto primo hopper. there amazing :D

Cause you can walk it and it has ramp and it doesn't have a really long barrel bad things are they need batteries but that can be easily replaced. I'm buying the pilot this weekend i love how fast it shots and the accuracy. The mrl isn't very good cause the huge barrel which people can see for a very long ways away and its heavy for a paintball gun you need something lit if you are playing speed ball.

HEY, thats what all or most guns do. because the air pressure is low so the stopper in the nossle isnt being pusssed hard enough to stop the rest of the air. and its good becase it makes sure the tank is empty. its standard. the guns do it when the air in them in low.

it rarely breaks paint me and my buddy picked up some guns he went with the jt stealth and paint got wayy up in his gun even the bolt had paint on it

@HunterE900 the best thing you can do is to get a decent 16 " barrel don't go all crazy don't pick a 18 " or 21 " just the 16" will do perfectly that will improve acuracy ,don't oil the striker make shure gun is clean paint free and oil free you will see how acurate it gets.

Well the stock comes with the gun which, like the guy in the video said, depending on where you get it, it can cost like 50-90 dollars. On some websites, you can get a package that comes with the barrel and a 12 ounce CO2 tank.

i started with a Spyder MR1, great gun but has a couple of things that are going to drive u crazy. like the plastic elbow. Spyder does stupid shit to there guns like not using standard fittings. but i must say The new Spyder electra with eyes is pretty good. no plastic elbow needed it has a clamping feed neck. if u really want a MR1 make sure u buy a clamping feed neck for it.

the spyder 09 shoots really fast if you train your fingers. 98 custom if you want to spend a little more and put some attachments to make it look cooler. mr1 shoots very accuratly

I do not agree. I have bought this gun and had it for two years now. I have also played paintball for about 10. This is a very reliable gun, it does not chop paint, uses just as much CO2 as any other gun, and is very accurate. Even at long ranges. Add on the removable buttstock and you have a very comfortable gun as well. I have used it for s[eedball and woodsball. Works well in either situation.

neither. try to find a 2k4-5ish timmy or a dp fusion (f6 or f7), . they will go for ~130-180 on PbNation. or any sort of pre 2k5 marker you'll get fairly cheap; just never buy spyder (clones) or tippman, even for woods/recball, you'll regret the purchase.

also forgot to add, using co2 corrodes the internals of the marker. so you'll need to buy a new one not too long down the road. only use n2 (compressed air).

it depends on what type of paintballing your going to be doing.

if u plan on doing speedball, then get the pilot, but if ur going for woodsball, the mr1 is your best bet.

Spyder MR2 was my first marker I polished the internals and upgraded the rear springs to the hardest and replace front n rear bolt with a 16 inch JJ performance. Never upgraded trigger since is smoth to pull trigger i was probably doin 10-13 bps on semi. After all the upgrades i was hiting targets below and about 200 ft but it shoot so hard that if we had a hot day i was breaking balls.
