On December 25th, 2011 I was homeless for the first time in my life. It was Sunday, the Lord's Day and Christmas. I visited a homeless area in Santa Ana and parked my car and watched food being distributed. In due time I decided to bring the gospel to these folks being burdened to give them spiritual food. Humanitarians often care for worldly needs but they don't always think of spiritual needs. God's Holy Spirit was on me to preach the gospel and I gave away 4 Bibles. One lady thanked me.
We have a rule of thumb with Street Evangelism about giving out Money. First of all for us to give out $3 to $4 to 100 people will be $300 to $400 dollars a day. 99% would buy Beer or Liquire or even wine. The Local Missions are aloud to give Soup and Hot Beverages. We can give Hot Chocolote, but all Food must be first prepaired in a Sanitized Kitchen so they dont get food poison. We can give them canned soup and let them hat it up themself with a Sterno. There are ways around the Laws.
Hello and Thank You for your comment. I wish we could give hot food but we are forbidden by local Police. We will give many other Items and give some Sterno's to cook with on their own.
We just found a nother homeless Comunity in Savannah Ga. They are living in a Cane field. Hundreds more are on their way from up North.
10º? Better load on blankets too. I don't understand how anyone survives that cold?
Even dressed my warmest from a walk to the car I freeze in that kind of weather?
How can so many look away?
Something must be done & even though you mean well all that sweet stuff might be the last thing they need? Hot soup in thermoses would help & hot chocolet, coffee anything that will warm them!
@Evangelist1611 Forbidden by the police? OMG The police should be arrested for that themselves? That is horrable & insane! I don't know what to say but "Go occupy" the only ray of hope we have left in this world! (The world has become a sad place to live when you can't give a cold person hot soup)
@Evangelist1611 Wait..can you give each of them a little money $3 or $4 to buy some soup & coffee from a restaurant? or is that illegal too...I would put that in their bags!
