There was a very interesting side-effect of this movie. The Bollywood workers union went on strike against KK because he: produced movie, wrote screenplay, acted in it, gave music, sang in it, directed it and put his family (son and then-wife Ruma Guha-Thakurta)in it!!! (I do not remember what else KK contributed). The Union demanded that KK quit all this activity bacause their members would be out of jobs if the one-man Kishore Kumar army kept on producing movies in this manner!!!
