Dear Gosh people stop comparing the movie and this. It's different people, a different plot, different stuff, they redid it. Heath's dead. The guy they have playing Patrick can't be him. Get over it and appreciate that this Patrick is good too. So is this Kat. Frankly the other characters besides Kat and Patrick are BETTER in this.

In the 1999 film, Patrick fancied Kat because he was PAID to do so. Without this, the series has nothing to do neither with Shakespeare's play nor with the Junger's film. Just another teen love story, not very funny as a matter of fact.
