I don't think so, remember Penn State had a winning streak before Michigan had theirs. Each streak starts with a blowout (except for Penn State's first streak), so I think Penn State will have at least a six game winning streak before Michigan starts beating them again.
Penn State beat Michigan this year, and probably will next year and the year after that. You still own Minnesota period (especially on the road) and Wisconsin at home, take solace in that.
Penn State may yet beat Michigan in Ann Arbor next season, but you know damn well it'll be alot closer then the 46-17 blowout it was last year, and if Penn State wins it like I expect they will, it'll be the last time you guys beat us for a long time. I was thinking the same thing. My gut tells me that Penn State will win a close one, but like you said, it'll be something like 21-17. I think 2011 will be the year that RichRod gets his players in, and they'll be at least somewhat mature. 2009 and 2010 will still be rebuilding years for Michigan. I predict that in 2009, Brandon Minor is going to be most of your offense, but despite that, I expect Michigan to go 6-6. Mainly because when Minor holds onto the ball, he's like another Mike Hart. I also expect Michigan to go to a bowl game and win big.
2008 was our rebuilding year. It's all up hill from here. I think Michigan will go 8-4 in the regular season and then win their Bowl game (which I'm thinking will be either the Capital One Bowl or the Outback Bowl). Then in 2010, we'll be big ten title contenders. We will only be starting 2 seniors on defense and 2 or 3 seniors on offense in 09, so we should return no less then 17 starters for 2010, with alot of those guys being 3 year starters. 2010 will be our BCS breakout year. I think it's possible, given what happened with Illinois (four games won in Ron Zook's first two years then Rose Bowl in 2007). But right now I predict 6-6 in 2009 and 9-3 in 2010. Penn State had the NO.1 ranked rush defense and was ranked 10th overall, and we had to hand the ball of to Mike Hart all day. And lookie there: we ran the ball down your throats to a 14-9 victory, as Hart had 153 yards. Now I'm not saying we will win it in 2009, but your dreaming if you think its going to be a blowout. Hart is better then Minor yes, But Minor ran for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns against Penn State at Happy Valley last season. He'll do at least as good this season at the Big House, especially with you guys losing 2 linebackers and 3 d-linemen (including Aaron Maybin), whereas we've got everybody back on the o-line and have Forcier to keep the defense guessing on those zone read plays.

Actually, Threet and Sheridan both got time in the second half. I think Threet was ultimately pulled after a forced fumble because of an injury. But Brandon Minor is actually a pretty good runningback when he can hold onto the ball. Reminded me a lot of Mike Hart.

It was actually a combination of Penn State playing down to the competition on the road (for 3 quarters they played not to lose) and bad calls. But ultimately what did it was Penn State spotting Michigan a 10-0 lead. There's no way that Michigan was the better team that year, but still, Michigan came to play and Penn State seemed to go through the motions for three quarters, and that's why Michigan won. But anyways, Penn State won this year (finally) and the next victory is the Horseshoe.

Utah may not even be the BCS buster, but I'll admit that Utah was a good team. Miami of Ohio and Toledo aren't exactly powerhouses, though. Notre Dame is okay this year, but they lost to Sparty. Penn State spanked a decent Oregon State team (yeah, I know they lost to Stanford, so did USC last year), blew out an on the rise Temple team, flattened Syracuse on the road (who I admit is having a down year), and clobbered a decent I-AA team in Coastal Carolina. Look at some of the scores.
Coastal Carolina was a cupcake, but we won 66-10. Oregon State will probably finish 7-5 or 8-4. They're no cupcake just because we beat them 45-14. Syracuse, I know they're having trouble lately, but nonetheless, a 55-13 road win against a Big East team. Temple is much better than people think. They're no longer a cupcake, and may even win the MAC. I'd wager right now that Temple might beat Michigan, they're two plays away from being 3-1.

Our offense isn't the same inept offense that struggled against Buffalo, but our defense is every bit as good as last year's (for better or for worse). We're going to AT LEAST the Rose Bowl, we beat Michigan 58-12 or some similar score, and pound Ohio State like a Division III team. Have you even seen Penn State play lately?
The years that you won were either home games or you were much better than Penn State. In 1994, 1995, and 1996, Penn State was owning Michigan. The 1997 game changed that. This year, you're not as good as we are, and it's in Beaver Stadium, last time we played in Beaver Stadium you only won 17-10, so I think there's a good chance that PSU wins it this year.

Penn State may yet beat Michigan in Ann Arbor next season, but you know damn well it'll be alot closer then the 46-17 blowout it was last year, and if Penn State wins it like I expect they will, it'll be the last time you guys beat us for a long time. I agree, it'll be a lot closer than the 46-17 rout of 2008. Infact I think it'll be something like 21-17 Penn State. Mainly because beating Michigan in the Big House is no walk in the park (just ask Utah, possibly the best team of 2008). I disagree though about it being the last time Penn State wins in a long time. Mainly because it was more Lloyd Carr outcoaching JoePa than anything. Reminds me of the Alabama rivalry with Bear Bryant. JoePa only beat Bear once, after he retired PSU won more.

I was thinking the same thing. My gut tells me that Penn State will win a close one, but like you said, it'll be something like 21-17. I think 2011 will be the year that RichRod gets his players in, and they'll be at least somewhat mature. 2009 and 2010 will still be rebuilding years for Michigan. I predict that in 2009, Brandon Minor is going to be most of your offense, but despite that, I expect Michigan to go 6-6. Mainly because when Minor holds onto the ball, he's like another Mike Hart. I also expect Michigan to go to a bowl game and win big.

2008 was our rebuilding year. It's all up hill from here. I think Michigan will go 8-4 in the regular season and then win their Bowl game (which I'm thinking will be either the Capital One Bowl or the Outback Bowl). Then in 2010, we'll be big ten title contenders. We will only be starting 2 seniors on defense and 2 or 3 seniors on offense in 09, so we should return no less then 17 starters for 2010, with alot of those guys being 3 year starters. 2010 will be our BCS breakout year. Mark it down

I think it's possible, given what happened with Illinois (four games won in Ron Zook's first two years then Rose Bowl in 2007). But right now I predict 6-6 in 2009 and 9-3 in 2010. But then again, I could be completely wrong, given how I thought Michigan would go 7-5 in 2008 and win a bowl like the Insight Bowl.

"Dickrod" led the MAC talented Mountaineers to three straight 11 win seasons and top 10 finishes, and 2 BCS bowl wins. And I never said Forcier will be as good as Henne as a freshman, but for you to say Forcier is not a QB worth mentioning shows how ignorant you are. Forcier is a high level 4 star, is the most accurate QB in the class of 2009, and can run like the wind. He'll have some growing pains next season obviously, but rest assured he'll be an all star in the future.

Penn State had the NO.1 ranked rush defense and was ranked 10th overall, and we had to hand the ball of to Mike Hart all day. Hart is better then Minor yes, But Minor ran for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns against Penn State at Happy Valley last season. He'll do at least as good this season at the Big House, especially with you guys losing 2 linebackers and 3 d-linemen (including Aaron Maybin), whereas we've got everybody back on the o-line and have Forcier to keep the defense guessing on those zone read plays.

Sean Lee was there in 2007 and it didn't make a damn difference. No, we did not try to get Greg Paulus as our starting QB. We looked into Paulus for depth reasons. He never had a chance at actually starting or seeing any meaningful playing time. The media hyped that story up way out of proportion. I'm kind of glad he's going to the Cuse, cause he was bringing alot of unwanted media attention. But anyways, Forcier would have started whether Paulus enrolled or not. That is a fact.

What i loved about to day tho, is even though michigan is down, i promise everyone when we have the players in next year, and rich rod gets a little time well be doing what we did in the first half even better. If we didnt lose threet in this game ( Sheridan is horrible ) we would have had a chance. Played with heart in the first half! We have adhjustment problems and its a sign of freshmen just not getting it totally yet. Give Joe PA and PSU respect there off to a NC as far as im concerned

Actually, Threet and Sheridan both got time in the second half. I think Threet was ultimately pulled after a forced fumble because of an injury. But Brandon Minor is actually a pretty good runningback when he can hold onto the ball. Reminded me a lot of Mike Hart.

The bad calls didn't ruin PSU's perfect season, Michigan did. If PSU was so good that year they would've beat us easily. Bad calls come up every game. It was actually a combination of Penn State playing down to the competition on the road (for 3 quarters they played not to lose) and bad calls. But ultimately what did it was Penn State spotting Michigan a 10-0 lead. There's no way that Michigan was the better team that year, but still, Michigan came to play and Penn State seemed to go through the motions for three quarters, and that's why Michigan won. But anyways, Penn State won this year (finally) and the next victory is the Horseshoe.

This game was total BS, the Jason Avant catch was totally out of bounds, and then Lloyd Carr had to be a big puss and ask the refs to put 2 extra seconds on the clock. Alot of people say, "Well, it's only 2 seconds." But in this case, the game was won with 1 second left, so that really mattered. I respect Chad Henne and Mario Manningham for executing this play really well, and I don't know why Manningham was open, but Lloyd Carr is the biggest cheat in the world. This ruined a dream season.

Are you serious? Penn State is one of the best teams in the Big Ten, and has been over the years. They probably have more of a chance at winning the Big Ten than Michigan.
MVillani: I agree. Oregon State always seems to start out bad, but then they'll have around 6 or 7 wins in conference play.

Utah may not even be the BCS buster, but I'll admit that Utah was a good team. Miami of Ohio and Toledo aren't exactly powerhouses, though. Notre Dame is okay this year, but they lost to Sparty. Penn State spanked a decent Oregon State team (yeah, I know they lost to Stanford, so did USC last year), blew out an on the rise Temple team, flattened Syracuse on the road (who I admit is having a down year), and clobbered a decent I-AA team in Coastal Carolina. Look at some of the scores.

Coastal Carolina was a cupcake, but we won 66-10. Oregon State will probably finish 7-5 or 8-4. They're no cupcake just because we beat them 45-14. Syracuse, I know they're having trouble lately, but nonetheless, a 55-13 road win against a Big East team. Temple is much better than people think. They're no longer a cupcake, and may even win the MAC. I'd wager right now that Temple might beat Michigan, they're two plays away from being 3-1.

when you say we are penn state do you mean the very same penn state that will lose to michigan again, finish 3rd or 4th in the big ten again and possibly play in the alamo bowl. you can be penn state if you want

I guarantee it, we will NOT lose to Michigan, we will NOT play in the Alamo or Champs Sports Bowl, and we will NOT have another 8-4 (4-4) season. Our offense isn't the same inept offense that struggled against Buffalo, but our defense is every bit as good as last year's (for better or for worse). We're going to AT LEAST the Rose Bowl, we beat Michigan 58-12 or some similar score, and pound Ohio State like a Division III team. Have you even seen Penn State play lately?

The years that you won were either home games or you were much better than Penn State. In 1994, 1995, and 1996, Penn State was owning Michigan. The 1997 game changed that. This year, you're not as good as we are, and it's in Beaver Stadium, last time we played in Beaver Stadium you only won 17-10, so I think there's a good chance that PSU wins it this year.

just wait till we have it rollin next year, right now its a new offense with a freshman qb. michigan football will be a beast in the years to come......oh not to mention we just beat a top 10 team with a comeback win. so you see the potential is there. dont get me wrong, psu has a helluva team but they always seem to choke somehow....this video is testament to that.
