  • U look better natural

  • Great video. As soon as it showed the first picture with your face in it, all I could say was, Wow, she is Really Beautiful.

Peace and Blissness to you SiStar ♥♥♥

  • It is funny how when we start transitioning from relaxed to natural, our natural hair shakes off the perm like a bad case of the fleas or something! LOL!

  • @sheliene12 So trueee haha, when i started going natural, everytime I would go to comb my hair (VERY GENTLY), all the straight hair would just literally fall out. It was so frustrating at first because my ponytails started to get thinned out, and then sooner or later, I just cut it all out, and now I couldn't be happier.

  • @Rioxka Congrats...feels so liberating doesn't it?

  • @sheliene12 You couldn't have said that better

    I totally agree;-)

  • I like the relaxed look more,,, But very pretty w/ natural also.. But wouldn't natural be alot to handle..?

  • @UmmYussif Thank you for your comment. I'm loving the natural look waaaaaay more than when I was relaxed.....Natural hair hard to handle? NOT!!

Using the right products for my hair and patience.....no problems;-)

  • Girl, you're good. Incredibly patient, you are. Me? I shaved my head bald and started from scratch. Your hair looks real good and natural looks good on you!! :)

  • @bibliomaniac727 Hey There....it definitely wasn't easy I can tell you that. I shaved my head a few times in my life as well. However this time for some reason I wanted to grow it out until i couldn't take it any longer. HHG

  • Lovely! :) I love being natural! Stopped relaxers in 2008 and did the BC in 2009 and honestly I would not relax my hair ever again.. There is no need for the harsh chemicals. If you get bored throw some braids in your hair or get a full sew in for the different look, that is how I do... Stay Blessed!

  • Omg. Ur soo pretty! I like it better natural(:

  • What products do you use on your hair?

  • @1980martay

I like any sulphate free shampoo. I don't have a favorite yet.

I deep condition mostly with homemade products. mayo and egg mixed with olive oil and honey. My favorite moisturizer as of today is Jane Carter. The hair nourishing cream/ultra light hair dress

Boy does my hair love that stuff!!! HHG:-)

  • cute~

  • @Nickyloveslove Hey there! thank you:-)

    HHG

  • Im with you! Going natural is the best thing i could have done! I have been natural since September 2010 but I did not do the chop! All the relaxed hair id gone anyway! That "creamy crack" messed my hair up but now it is the strongest and the healthiest it has been since my first relaxer in the 9th grade! no more breakage or bald spots due to over processing! It was a great decision and kudos to you! Good luck on ur journey!

  • beautiful!

  • @BeautyBlackNatural Thank you so much:-)

    HHG to you

  • Nice braids I feel as well ...I know how that natural makes you feel, I haven't had relaxers in over 10 years just turning 43 and I don't wish to ever do that to my hair again it's grown more and strengthend in that time than it ever did with a relaxer growing up. *Good Luck*

  • @SimplyDlmply

Thank you...I Love braids...so low maintenance.

I'm with you...no more relaxers....I got my thick hair back! (My #1 reason on going natural)

my hair is sooo much stronger...now all I have to do is be patient and wait on the length that i desire.

Thanks for sharing...Good Luck to you as well'-)

  • I love the song!

  • @Iheartlondon...hello;-)

BC is short for Big Chop...I grew my hair out for 11 months and on Sept 13, 2010 I cut off the rest of my relaxed ends.

  • what the hell is a "BC" like it says in yo video description. "I did my BC on September 13, 2010." what does that mean???

  • @lheartlondon

It stands for "big chop" and it means when she cut the relaxed hair off, only leaving the natural hair.

  • Omg!!! U are so Beautiful.....!! The Natural fits you to the Tee!!!...that was too cute; u didn't show ur face to the end.....the suspense of it all :>)

  • @UnTamedLucyObella OMG!!! You are are too sweet for that compliment. Thank you so much...you made me smile;-)

  • @CastleRecordz Thank you so much ;-)

  • Ur hair is beautiful! I'm transitioning w braids now :) ur skin is amazing! Thanks for the inspiration for us newbees.

  • I decided I want to go natural, I have thick/coarse hair and it seems like the only way I can manage it is with relaxers but Im tired of all the chemicals so im gonna do it. do you have any suggestions on how to do it? grow it out? get braids? I need help lol

  • @rayceniagurl That's what I used to think. That relaxers were the only way to manage my hair. NOT!! LOL

It takes Detemination and Patience and a Lot of TLC!

It took me several attempts to go natural. For me, braids and twists, and crocheted hairstyles helped me a lot because I didnt have to do anything to my hair. To sum it all up ,keep braids, twists, deep condition often and dont be scared to trim. No heat either and you will do fine! Good Luck! You can do this!!!

  • @Tiffanyantt what kind of hair type do u have? im 14 and started to transition when i was 13 and i did the big chop i have 4c hair and im gonna flat iron it soon. :)

  • @SailorMoonultimate60

I have both 4a and 4b hair types. A little bit of C too;-)

I also will be straightening soon.

  • how beautiful this gives me confidents that I can do it. proud to say headed in 3 months sober(Perm free), no BC yet and dont plan to till my birthday next yr

  • @LatteizHot08

Of course you can do it...If it makes you feel any better, it took me 3 attempts to go fully natural. One time i went a whole 6 months and then i gave up and relaxed..ugh

I suggest braids or twists, something to keep you from relaxing.

Thank you for the compliment ;-)

  • @Tiffanyantt Thank you for yours. And it does.

  • soo pretty. how long did u transition for?

  • @Jamgirl2341

I transitioned for 11 months. I wanted to transtion longer but i just couldn't take those two textures any longer.

  • @Tiffanyantt cool im bc tomorrow at 4 months :)

  • @Jamgirl2341

Congrats! You should record your bc....i wish I had a video for mines.

  • I see you girl...lol

    Thx

  • Hey Tiff! Its me! Longerstrongerhair from Fotki! Lol..I have a channel too. I cant believe I found your videos lol..im subbing :)

  • @HappyMsNappy.....I appreciate it..thx ;-)

  • Very nice! Congrats!

  • Fotki is a online photo sharing site. I have one and i was just going to ask you what your user name was so that I can see your pics. Set up an account when you get a chance. Its free. Fotki.com

  • Your natural look is great but your relaxer is one of the few I've seen that was simply gorgeous and looked very healthy as well. Btw, I found that my ultimate moisturizer is a combination of my favorite conditioner, essential oil, 911 and water all in a spray bottle and used daily. I have minimal breakage and more elasticity. Good luck in your journey.

  • @1000mishi .....Thank you so much for ur comment. I put in a lot of work to get my relaxed hair to look that healthy. Those pics that are in the video...that was my hair in its healthiest state but I still felt like "something was missing" you know?

  • @Tiffanyantt

Yes, I do know. My relaxed days were some of my best hair style days, but being natural allows me more freedom. No rolled up car windows, or worrying about rain or getting my hair wet at all. No need for hair spray or that dry, straw-like feel to my hair from relaxers that didn't come out as I expected. Since 2008 I've been natural and while I sometimes straighten it (hot comb), I love knowing that a simple washing will bring back my natural texture. Great talking to you! =0)

  • @1000mishi ...Do you have a Fotki? If so send me the link please. nice talking to you 2 ;-)

  • @Tiffanyantt

Sorry, I don't. I've heard of Fotki but I'm not familiar with it. What is its purpose?

  • good luck , nice job so far

  • @danger069gurl

    Thank you so much:-)

  • your hair looks so healthy! let me know when you find that 'ultimate' moisturizer. what is your regime?

  • nice,my hair looks very similar ,what's your hair type, I am trying to find in which category I fall, I heard it's beneficial to find hair products based on hair type

  • @sweetbee06

Thank you....my hair falls into the 4a/4b category. I'm still "on the hunt" for the "ultimate" moisturizer!

  • I follow you on fotki...glad to see you are on youtube as well!!

  • Your hair looks great! How long did you transition?

  • @deannky77

Thank you so much. I transitioned for 11 months:-)
