i like to eat grizzlys, pretty tasty......anyways if u have predators with babys always run, they cant effort getting more than a few steps away from their babys, therefore its a good chance to survive...

Why is everyone saying a gun would've changed everything? read about the chances of actually surviving a bear attack with a gun vs bear spray, then come back and comment. And yes a bear hunter can take a bear down cause he's hiding, waiting for the bear, the element of surprise is on the human's side but try taking aim at a 850 pound animal charging at you at 35mph. I was a cop for several years and witnessed as an adrenaline pumped man won't go down after a few rounds have been fired.

I dont feel sympathy for those people...we are animals like the bears. If you meet them you have to be fast or strong..and in case of humans, you have to get a gun or something...if not...you loose...preatty natural situation.

First, check your spelling, it's horrible.
Second, most(if not all) state parks don't allow guns, only bear spray and common sense bear avoidance techniques.
A little pepper spray could've avoided this, I do a lot of camping, always have a can of bear spray on my belt.
And as for sympathy, I feel none for people who in the 21st century still don't know the difference between "lose" and "loose" or can't spell "pretty" correctly.

It has been determined a gun will most likely piss the bear off even more and it takes at least 4 accurate shots to take it down, remember this isn't some 175 pound guy in an alley, it's an 800 pound beast protecting it's cubs. I'd sure like to see you take 4 good shots at something that big charging at you at 30 mph.

Much tougher to make an argument against a more specific example such as a .44 magnum or larger, now isn't it? You know it and I think you got my point. No one wants to have to shoot a charging bear with ANY gun, but if you must, you better have a .44 mag. or better in order to effectively stop it. The "no gun is good against a bear" argument is patently stupid, ignorant & incorrect.
