Actualy, there is something simalar to this in the real game. Its with the zealot necromorph when he grabs you, he starts stabbing you instead of bitting you. Issac grab's on of the zealot's arms and rips it off, and stabs the zealot.

two problems. one is the gun usege. they wont take that . why becase what if your out of amo. next is that it takes to long. it has to be quic. and for added mesure ...well it still a asome idea!

Would've been cool to stab them in the head with their own claw, but the reason they don't use guns in dismemberment kills is because ther're too many variables. 1. They'd need to program the sequence for any type of gun, how would this work if Isaac were carrying the Flamethrower, Force Gun, or Javelin Gun? 2. What if the player is out of ammo, a strong possibility in the higher difficulties especially?

Besides the whole ammo thing, I think another thing you overlooked is that headshots and such aren't really supposed to be effective against Necromorphs, making the head stabbing and headshot kinda pointless.

That being said, it was still a pretty awesome concept.

The rules said HAND TO HAND combat. Nice video but...well it seems too much for something like a quick time event, what I mean is that a quick time event is...hence the name quick....this seems slow and a waste of ammo. Nice vid though

Shooting a necromorph in the head won't kill it. I still like your creativity and the effects. Maybe the arm and the head would kill it.

@Nephuxs You can cut their heads clean off, they still don't die in the game. They swing and claw at you headless. That's the whole point of the game, you have to dismember them limb by limb, rather than a cliche headshot.

@TheGostofSparta It's really up to the development team on how they want to process the kill, whether the grapple kills it or not, after the head shot, it could still move, then you'd kill it regularly. It's all up to the team.

This is a quite creative one but I'd change slighty the way he dismembers the arm in the first place. In a close up you'd want to save those bullets so, you know, Isaac is a strong man and these Necromorphs are kinda like a stickman, why not just twist the fuckers arm dismembering it by raw force and than the rest (as someone already said he doesn't need to pick up the arm). For even more bullet saving he could just stomp the Necromorph like right in the neck instead of shooting. Voted 5 :)

Sorry Rainfor3st, I totally meant to hit "Reply" but stupidly hit "Remove" I went into my mailbox and pasted your comment back up! My reply is I figured when dealing with a graplle or melee kill, any ammo used would not count in your stock being as it's kind of it's own cinematic. I believe that is the way the developers would do it. I was also very concious of the fact that Issac has a gun in his hand which means only one arm would be technically usable. So shooting seemed like the most logical

This is actually pretty good.

The only thing is when Isaac shoots the arm off he would already be holding it, so he would not need to pick it up. It's a small detail, but it is still good.

In this video, after blowing the arm off it flys out of Issacs hand. But blowing his arm off and still holding onto it would be a good idea too!
