  • No, sir, the media did not destroy Palin....Palin destroyed Palin!!

  • @ThomasAUSTRALIA1 How so?

  • @LNSmithee How so?? Her ignorance, her fear-mongering, her deceit, her character assassinations of Mr. Obama, her mud-slinging, her pre-occupation with inciting fear and hatred, her hypocrisy, her double standards, her pathetic cries of "why do people always attack poor little me", her distortion of facts, her folksy attitute to everything...all came back to haunt her. People looked at her and thought we don't want a folksy, ignorant, hockey mum clown as VP, so they turned their backs on her.

  • @ThomasAUSTRALIA1 Specifics, please -- What "character assassinations of Mr. Obama"? What "inciting fear & hatred" and "fear-mongering" (which is the same thing)? And regarding ignorance, deceit, hypocrisy, double-standards, distortion of facts," I ask this: Do you believe that Obama & Biden are innocent of those charges?

I'm interested in knowing what you THINK you know about Palin. Most reasons people hate her are based in MSM lies.

  • Her daughter is a slut.

  • You know the sound made when you clicked on "Post Comment"? That's the sound of your brain being emptied. You've got nothing left -- not that there was much there to begin with.

  • "[T]hey're in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom." --Sarah Palin, getting the vice president's constitutional role wrong after being asked by a third grader what the vice president does, interview with NBC affiliate KUSA in Colorado, Oct. 21, 2008

  • Oh, so Palin got it wrong, huh?

Tell me, loon: When the Senate is in session, and Senators make reference to "Mr. President," do you think they're referring to the POTUS?

No, they mean the President Pro Tem, the one who is moderating discussion in the Senate chambers.

What does "Pro Tem" mean? It's Latin for "for the time being."

Each presiding Senator is President Pro Tem if the Constitutional President of the Senate -- the Vice President -- is absent.

    Palin is correct. You're wrong.

  • No she isn't you idiot, she was talking about the Vice President's role, which is only as a tiebreaker. The President pro tempore was not what she was talking about.

  • Did Palin say that she would regularly VOTE in the Senate? No, she said "if they want to [VPs] can really get in there with the senators..." Every VPOTUS has the Constitutional right to preside over the Senate regardless of whether there is a tie or not. It doesn't matter that the right is rarely exercised - it's there.

Think I'm mistaken? Read your Constitution and show me where I am wrong. Don't chicken out and hurl insults or pretend you can read Palin's mind. It's lame.

  • No they don't, you idiot. Ever heard of "seperation of powers"? The VP only "presides" over the Senate during disputes; ties.

You must be the biggest moron online, you teabagging homo.

  • From the U.S. Senate Reference Page:

"vice president - Under the Constitution, the Vice President serves as President of the Senate. He (sic) may vote in the Senate in the case of a tie, but is not required to. The President Pro Tempore (and others designated by him) usually perform these duties during the Vice President's frequent absences from the Senate."

  • How well do I know you, loon?

I warned you against answering from an extra-Constitutional source (which it turns out is yourself) and issuing insults in lieu of an answer. So what did you do? Exactly what I thought you would do.

Article II of the Constitution says nothing about a tie being required for the VPOTUS to serve as President of the Senate. Have fun trying to disprove that fact.

Palin is correct. You are wrong.

  • The modern view of the Vice President as a member of the executive branch is due in part to the assignment of executive duties to the Vice President by either the President or Congress, though such activities are only recent historical developments.

  • Nice cut-and-paste, loon, but I asked for a Constitutional answer that proved Palin and me wrong.

    Where is it?

Let this be a lesson to you, loon - this is the danger of letting other people do your thinking for you. MSM partisans say "Palin's wrong!" and you believed it without thinking. That's why I called you a parrot.

  • I heard Palin's book stops about halfway through.

  • Is that all you've got?

  • No. I'd like to have sex with Sarah with her hair tied back and her glasses on. On one of her bear skin rigs. That would be hot.

Todd looks like he doesn't get laid much, though.

  • Uh huh. A guy with four children -- the youngest one just over a year old -- "doesn't get laid much."

  • Parrot.

  • Quitter.

  • Every time she opens her mouth, she embarrasses herself. How about that press conference when she quit as governor. Was she on meth, or what? And those interviews with Katie Couric? Verbal diarrhea! Embarrassing!

  • As I've pointed out above, the MSM hates Palin with a passion, and makes the most out of every one of her missteps.

I'm not going to be dishonest and try to convince you she hasn't made mistakes galore in her interviews. She has. Many are her fault alone; others are the McCain campaign's fault, and some are due to the fierce vendetta against her. But if you think there is any equanimity in reportage about her verbal errors and those of either Obama or even Joe Biden, YOU'RE the one on meth.

  • Another thing, Myrtle: Public speaking ability doesn't equal leadership. It often helps, but it doesn't portend an ability to be an effective, decisive, and competent executive.

IMHO, Greenhorn Sen. Obama ran for POTUS in '08 for the same reason Kennedy ran in '80 against Carter: They figured the incumbent was so badly wounded, the nation would rush to embrace a truly articulate pol promising a change. Even Dems couldn't stomach Teddyquiddick as CIC, but smooth talker BHO got the gig.

  • It's not just about speaking ability; after all, Palin does a pretty good job when she's reading a speech written by someone else, witness her speech at the RNC. But Palin's subsequent inability to articulate a clear thought while extemporizing shows that she lacks understanding of some basic principles of economics and politics which would be necessary for a president to have mastered.

  • 1. A DNC charge after Palin's RNC success was that she didn't write the speech. Well, Obama doesn't write his own stuff either. Google "Jon Favreau," and ignore links about the same-named actor.

    2. In her first year as AK Governor, Palin had a budget surplus thanks partly to her antipathy to reflexive spending hikes. She slashed requests for earmarks, which won her enemies in both parties. The US under BHO is drowning in red ink with not only no relief in sight, but none intended.

  • Oh, I see. You're one of those mental giants who is blaming our current economic problems on OBAMA. Okay. Everything you say is absolutely right. You win. Thanks for sharing the truth with us. End of discussion.

  • I'm actually disappointed that you chose to mask a non-response with sarcasm rather than actually engage my remarks. Oh well.

FTR: I don't blame EVERYTHING on Obama. After the '08 crash, Bush & Bernanke panicked and started with the bailout biz, and in '09, true to BHO and Emanuel's philosophy, they are "not letting a crisis go to waste" - they are trying to take advantage of it by sweeping as much radical change into the system as they can before the economy rights itself, as it usually does.

  • Also - BHO Admin's own projections had unemployment almost reaching 9% if the so-called stimulus bill WASN'T passed. It WAS passed, and unemployment zoomed past 9% anyway. Over 2.5 million jobs were lost post-stimulus after BHO promised jobs would be "created" or "saved."

Obama is on record in '08 as WANTING to bankrupt coal cos & incur higher energy prices w/cap&trade and WELCOMING higher gas prices b/c he thinks it will clear the path for alternative energy policies.

    He owns this. Sorry.

  • Don't be sorry. I didn't vote for Obama. But I'm not FOOL enough to think this recession is his fault. Sorry you are.

  • What is wrong with you people? Can't you freaking READ?

I wrote in plain English that "I DON'T BLAME *EVERYTHING* ON OBAMA," but then explained a few of the reasons why his policies and redistributionist outlook are delaying and diluting the recovery.

There's only so much I can express in 500 characters, but it was more than enough to make it crystal clear I don't "think this recession is his fault." Still, you couldn't be shaken from your preconceived notion. Why am I not surprised?

  • So by that timeline rationale, Bush dropped the ball on counter-terrorism and we were attacked. All his fault.

    Thanks, man!

  • Thanks for what? 9/11 is an entirely different issue.

  • She's a quitter. A lightweight.

  • You've already written that, loon. Twice.

Quit chickening out. You called Bristol "a slut," and I asked you a question: DO YOU HAVE ANY DAUGHTERS?

  • Why would it matter if I did? You homo.

  • I was wondering what your reaction was/will be to your own daughter having premarital sex.

Whoa! Who am I to say such a thing? I think it's a safe assumption that a 39-yr-old guy who blithely writes about "snowballing" and threesomes didn't/doesn't raise his little girl to wait until her honeymoon night.

The diff between you and me, is that I would never call your daughter a "slut" just for getting pregnant by the boy she thought she was going to marry.

  • So how do you know about snowballing and threesomes? Pervert.

  • Oh, so YOU mention snowballing and threesomes in a political discussion, loon, and I'M the "pervert." As Shakespeare never said, "Ye who smelt it dealt it."

Honest to God: I only know about "snowballing" because it was mentioned in ANOTHER political donnybrook online and I had no idea what it was. I did a search and found it in the Urban Dictionary, an online repository of slang. It's sorta Wikipedia for pottymouths.

Ditto "teabagging." The libs @ MSNBC couldn't get enough of that one.

  • It's nice to know Palin and her ilk take 'daring to be stupid' to heart.

  • Freeper scum. You and your Nazi buddy Rim Job.

  • Well, then! There we have it. I am making a rational argument, I've argued my point using irrefutable facts (at least, you're not trying to refute them) and you're dragging out knee-jerk Nazi insults. Once again, par for the course for Palin-haters.

But hey, it's less taxing than thinking, ain't it, LOON?

  • Who hates Palin? She's a joke. A quitter. A laughingstock.l

  • You're not paying attention, loon. It's because of the personal hatred of AK Democrats that she's no longer Governor.

The laws of Alaska allowed them to harass her with baseless ethics complaints that stole time and effort away from her duties and threatened to bankrupt her family. She resigned to allow her LG to continue her popular policies and goals for the state. So far, that's actually worked.

The libs said she left under cloud of an FBI probe. That was a lie. Who said? The FBI.

  • Wow, some "pitbull". She's a quitter. A lightweight.

  • Still repeating your mantra, huh? Well, here's this after you finish meditating: MoveOn sent fundraising letters begging for money to fight Palin's PAC. They wouldn't have used her as a rallying point if she was a "lightweight" -- it would be a waste of resources and money. You don't see right-wing groups raising money by saying "Fight Rod Blagojevich!", do ya?

Dems just gave a royal sendoff to a drunken lout who left a date to drown in his car. Think Palin's not capable of a comeback?

  • The only comeback Palin is capable of is if Todd is a snowballer.

  • It's always amusing to scratch the surface of a Palin-hater, because they always reveal themselves to be adolescents, forgoing intelligent conversation in favor of insults and dirty jokes.

    Got any more, loon?

  • Dirty joke? You mean like Sarah letting her slut daughter get fucked in her house?

  • Way to live down to expectations, loon.

Every sordid response you issue diminishes your intelligence (such as it is) and proves my assertion that Palin-haters have no willingness (and likely no ability) to argue against her on her merits. All they -- and you -- do is spew insults, ridicule, and hate.

  • Still doesn't change the fact that her daughter bore a bastard child of her body.

  • Yeah, right, loon. I really believe that a guy who makes unsolicited remarks about threesomes and snowballing apropos of nothing is scandalized by a child born out of wedlock.

I will give you this, though; You, unlike some Palin-haters (*cough* ANDREWSULLIVAN *cough*) are apparently smart enough not to believe Trig is Bristol's son.

    Aren't you?

  • So true. Sarah Palin can't even govern her family, let alone a state.

  • AK was doing much better than most states before AND after the recession. Even her AK stalkers know she can govern the state. That's why their weapon of choice against her was baseless ethics charges. Look it up -- they tried to bankrupt her by abusing AK law to make her answer accusations as silly as "conflict of interest" b/c she was waiting at the finish line of a snowmobile race wearing a jacket with the logo of Todd's sponsor.

If the state paid for her defense, she'd still be Governor.

  • I read that she had alienated the Alaska state legislature to such an extent, she couldn't get anything through. Even the Republicans in Alaska hate her. Oh, and she was offered a very lucrative book deal. But it was someone else's fault that she quite, was it? Way to take responsibility, Sarah! What a role model. Well, we need look no further than Bristol to see what kind of role model she is.

  • The Republicans in Juneau that "hate her" are the old guard that sucked off the public teat with endless earmarks. She reduced the earmark requests by two-thirds as Gov, and made enemies of former Gov Murkowski (whom she defeated in the GOP primary) and his daughter Lisa, whom he appointed Senator while he was in office.

Palin has made progress toward the long-desired transnational gas pipeline that neither of her two predecessors could, and her successor will continue her policies.

  • Think for a moment if you can, Pennie: You're a mother with five kids and you're doing your job well. But people that hate you use a legal loophole to constantly sue you, making answering to silly complaints (that they don't even take seriously) a large part of your job, and promise to put you further in debt as long as you continue to do the job.

You're telling me you wouldn't consider doing something else for a living if you could?

  • Not if I had serious political ambitions. Does she think it's going to get BETTER if she's president? Look at what Obama's going through. Well, I guess she couldn't stand the heat, so she got out of the kitchen. She should STAY out.

  • Once again, your ignorance of the unique situation Palin was in kicks in.

The perfect storm of ethics laws in AK made it impossible for her to ignore the frivolous complaints, and she had to pay her attorneys out of pocket. If she's ever elected POTUS, simple ethics complaints would not be a matter handled by a personal attorney. If she was sued, she would have the same right to set up a defense fund as Clinton did when he was sued by Paula Jones.

    "Heat?" No, "bankruptcy." Big diff.

  • Oh, that's right! If she were president, the DEPARTMENT OF LAW there in the White House would take care of things. LOL!

  • I guess you agree with my analysis, since you chose to recycle another joke rather than dispute it.

    Thanks for conceding.

  • It's not a JOKE, fella, it's a QUOTE. This bimbo is so stupid, she doesn't even understand how the government is set up. And don't make the assumption that I agree with you. It's very clear that Sarah Palin IS AN UNETHICAL PERSON! She was found to have violated the ethical code in Troopergate. And beyond that, she's like something off the Jerry Spring show. The comments about her daughter's baby daddy were PURE WHITE TRASH. We can't have someone like that in the White House.

  • Yawn. Palin-haters' SOP: You take every little slipup she makes and magnify it into evidence she shouldn't be allowed around sharp objects. Meanwhile, BHO in an Oregon campaign stop said that he had been in "57 states" and shortly thereafter said he was behind in West Virginia & Kentucky because Hillary was from Arkansas, she was better known in "the states in the middle." Dude was apparently unaware that WV borders Maryland, and KY is closer to Illinois than AR!

  • Regarding Palin's ethics: You OBVIOUSLY didn't read the the politically-motivated special prosecutor's report. I did. You don't know what "ethical code" she supposedly violated. I do. And it's all BOGUS. That's why she remained Governor after the election - all the alleged ethics probes added up to NOTHING. But they did get in the way of her message b/c sheep like you only read headlines. So the Dems who started the nonsense in the first place repeated it until it nearly bankrupted her.

  • Actually, I DID read the report of the bipartisan committee that investigated "Troopergate." She was found not to have done anything unlawful, but she WAS found to have violated the ethics code of Alaska, using her office for personal reasons. I also recall Palin saying it was all about "partisan politics." Funny, it was a bipartisan committee -- of course, all the Republicans in Alaska hate her by now, as well as the Democrats. She lies!

  • Oh, so you DID read it, Pennie? And you AGREE with the special prosecutor's conclusion?

Alrighty, then! Tell us all what the "personal reasons" were supposed to be for her wanting to get a rogue cop who drove a state vehicle while drinking beer, illegally hunted moose, tasered a 10-yr-old boy, and allegedly threatened the lives of members of her family off of the AK Troopers. Also, tell us what the TOTAL penalty was for ALL of those violations.

See if you can reply with a straight face.

  • Re Palin saying the probe was "partisan politics": You tell me: Is a prosecutor TRULY "independent" if the list of people he subpoenas is DIRECTED by the No. 1 enemy of the target of the probe? That's what happened in "Troopergate."

Stephen Branchflower, who wrote the report, admitted before the commission that Dem St. Sen. Hollis French - BHO's chief AK booster - told him to alter his subpoena list, and that he complied. Rather than answer why, he directed that question to French.

  • Re Branchflower's allowing Hollis French - Obama's point man in AK - to alter the subpoena list: You don't have to believe me. Believe Branchflower in his (and French's) own words. On TownHall-dot-com, Amanda Carpenter has the whole story under the title "Obama Partisan Tampers with Palin Subpoena List" including a MP3 of Branchflower stumbling for a reply. Google it.

Just weeks before, French told ABC News' Brian Ross that the Troopergate probe would be an "October Surprise" vs. McCain.

  • You say "We can't have someone like that in the White House." As opposed to a "red diaper baby" whose approach to deficits and debt is to multiply them, and who wants the FedGov to provide health care for everyone (which had a disastrous outcome when that approach was made to housing).

Finally - saying Palin is "like something off the Jerry Spring (sic) show" proves you either have never seen the Jerry SPRINGER show or that you don't know enough about Palin to know what you're talking about.

  • Should have worked harder to get McCain and Queen Sarah elected, then. You lost, bozos.

  • We all lost.

  • Ha ha! Sarah is a hideously negligent mother... that's very clear.

  • Barack Obama's mother got pregnant out of wedlock, split with her husband months after the birth of her child, got divorced, married another guy who transplanted her to Indonesia, left him, returned to the USA, then dumped her children on her parents and took off around the world.

What do you think of Stanley Ann Dunham? Just curious.

  • So? I'm not a big Obama fan, and I don't give a rat's ass about his mother's sex life.

  • You and loon DO give a rat's about Bristol's, though. Why is that?

  • Because she's a slut.

  • Do you have any daughters, loon?

  • And what did I write about Dunham-Obama-Soetoro's "sex life," pennie?

  • Wow, so you're a birther shit head as well. You goddamn freeper idiot.

  • What are you talking about? Do you have some sort of reading disorder that causes you to read only every other word?

I didn't say anything about Obama's birth, I was talking about the parenting history of his mother. Why? Because I knew that pennieroyaltea wouldn't have anything unkind to say about BHO's mom the way she has Palin.

  • Are you serious? Go to Palin's Facebook page. None of her supporters can't write a coherent sentence.

  • I have never been to her Facebook page, so I wouldn't know. What is true, Pennie, is that I CAN write a coherent sentence. The best YOU can do are short, snarky ones that parrot others' lies, make insincere value judgments, and ignore the actual issues.

  • "None of her supporters can't write a coherent sentence"? Pennieeee! Watch those double negatives!

  • You don't have to be liberal to hate Sarah Palin. Been waiting to vote for McCain since I was seventeen and first got a chance to see him in the 2000 primaries, and I still think she is the worst thing that has happened to the party in my life time. If she is at the top of the ticket in 2012, I think I will have to vote for myself. Can not bring myself to vote for Obama, but if Palin gets in office it will be the end of the Republican party. Better to have the who's nailin' palin chick.

  • You're a McCain fan since the 2000 primaries? Interesting. Maybe you can answer a question that he's played dodgeball with since November: Why did he select her if he didn't think she was VP material? And if she's such a disaster, and McCain is responsible for foisting her on the American public, doesn't that hurt your image of McCain as well?

As for McCain, the only reason I tolerated him was because he wasn't an Alinskyite, like Hillary & BHO to a more extreme extent.

  • Regarding "the Who's Nailin' Pailin" chick -- that juvenile comment negates everything you wrote previously. If you're really the serious person you wish to portray yourself as being, why don't you redeem yourself by telling me whom you think McCain SHOULD have chosen, and tell me what positive difference that would have made?

FTR, I don't have much respect for self-proclaimed "moderates." They care what people think and say about them more than they care about sticking to their principles.

  • The cool part is the three way with Condi, Hillary and Palin.

  • She has a screw loose.

  • Uh huh. Obama hired a tax cheat to "fix" the economy, has a guy who knows nothing about the auto industry running GM, thinks the way to be fiscally responsible is to balloon the deficit and the national debt, and it's Palin -- who wisely shrunk spending increases even in a good economy in Alaska -- who "has a screw loose."

Anyway, I notice that you have nothing to say about the dishonesty of Charles Gibson, which is the point of the video. It doesn't bother you that a news anchor's a liar?

  • In what respect, Charlie?

C'mon....she's a dumb bimbo who has gotten by in life because she is good looking. Wait about 10 years when she loses her looks, then see how popular she is.

  • This is how ignorant YOU are, loon -- you think there was one commonly agreed-upon definition of "Bush Doctrine" that she should have addressed. There wasn't. Definitions of what "The Bush Doctrine" is/was depended on the biases of who was discussing it -- in the case of Gibson, it meant carte blanche to preemptive attack, while to Palin it meant GWB's goal of disabling terrorists & their sponsors.

What's Gibson's excuse for deliberately taking her "Task From God" remark out of context, loon?

  • Six months after his inauguration, Obama's still good looking, but now he's less popular in America than Palin ever was in Alaska at her lowest point as Governor.

What evidence do we have that OBAMA isn't "a dumb bimbo" who has gotten by in life because he's a good writer who gives great speeches?

Be careful how you answer that question.

  • Gee, that's funny, you didn't care about polls when your hero Bush was in charge.

  • I didn't think you'd answer my question.

  • Her behavior IS odd. But a lot of her actions and reactions are odd. Her star is descending.

  • The reason why it makes sense to go after the Internet rumors w/her lawyer is because the MSM hates her. OTOH, the MSM adores Obama, and as I point out in the blog post that accompanies this video, Jonathan Martin helped the BHO campaign by co-writing an article debunking viral emails alleging BHO is a Muslim.

But journalistic ethics don't matter to you, only that Palin's star is falling. Well, so is Obama's, thanks in part to Palin's clarion call about government rationing of medical care.

  • Journalistic ethics don't matter to me? Upon what evidence are you basing that statement, sweetie? I know Sarah Palin has made baseless rants fashionable, but they still don't convince the majority, as evidenced by Palin's smallish following.

  • What evidence? That you watched my video, read my blog entry, and haven't said one word about how the proof I've provided that Joe Klein, Charles Gibson, & Brian Williams deliberately spread lies about Palin (or refused to refute them). Meanwhile, many MSMers took great pains to debunk lies spread about Obama.

Of course, maybe you didn't watch the video. You just saw Palin's name, and just reflexively squeezed out your favorite insult without thinking. Most Palin-haters are like that.

  • You didn't even answer my question. You're just ranting. A lot.

  • Let's try this again, shall we? Pay attention!

YOUR QUESTION: "Journalistic ethics don't matter to me? Upon what evidence are you basing that statement, sweetie?"

MY ANSWER: "What evidence? That you watched my video, read my blog entry, and haven't said one word about the proof I've provided that Joe Klein, Charles Gibson, & Brian Williams [either] deliberately spread lies about Palin (or refused to refute them). Meanwhile, many MSMers took great pains to debunk lies spread about Obama."

  • You don't seem to know what the word "ranting" means. Look at loonmaniac's responses. THAT'S "ranting."
