  • 2:04 Whendid that happen?

  • One of my favorites of all the ST movies (ranks about # 3 for me; right behind "Khan" and the 2009 movie). The trailer is epic, exciting and serene (love the melancholy music by Cliff Eidelman). Fits the movie perfectly...

  • the two shots between 1:18 and 1:19 don't appear in the movie

  • Star Trek Vl - The Undiscovered Country.

For Gene Roddenberry father and creator of Star Trek (August 19, 1921 – October 24, 1991) may your final voyage be your greatest one of all.

  • the black guy at the begining that says suicide isnt he ben siskos dad??

  • @charmlighter yes he is he also appeared in star trek IV too

  • it was never 91!!! - holy shit balls

  • This movie was great. 5 was meh, and then the abortion star trek generations came out. That movie ruined everything.

  • God, why couldn't the TNG movies ever reach this level of classiness? They certainly were capable of it.

  • I think this is the best original cast film!

  • star trek V was a good film, it has a spiritual / interesting concept but not very dramatic VI is excellent

  • This was the first Trek movie I ever saw in theaters. Been a Trekkie ever since!

  • A movie about the end of the cold war while the end of the cold war was actually happening.

  • Fuck you, Star Trek V and Star Trek VI are completely different, why bother trying to compare them with your limited capacities. If you had any taste you'd realize that Star Trek V is exactly like the TV show, which is obviously the best Star Trek.

  • next to wrath of kahn and search for spock (which i consider one movie since their stories were so interconnected, like a 2 part tv episode) this is the 2nd best original series trek movie

  • They hall had to have had made the rank of Captain after so many years :-D

  • 1991? LOL, I was 2 years old :)

  • great movie I have them ALL but this one I feel really put them all together and made it worth wild to add

  • I like Star Trek 1, 3 and 6 the best

  • I Think that this and Star Trek The Motion Picture are my favorite Star Trek Movies. Oh Btw I wonder if Siskel and Ebert ever review this movie?.

  • "Cry Havok, and let slip the dogs of war!"

  • Ronald Reagan should have played Chang. A fitting denounment to the Cold War.

  • star trek 5 was a try, at least they try to explore new theme not stiking to hollywod sheme (7 8 9 10) lol

  • i thought klingon women counldnt be president

  • best

  • In my opinion, a better movie should have had been about Spock's reunification of Vulcan with the Romulan Star Empire and the potential threat of leaving the Federation. And perhaps an introduction of the Cardassian Union would be nice as a crossover to the 24th century era. Klingons were overused.

  • "guess who's coming to dinner" Chekov know he was wrong...LOL

  • The finale of the original crew and their finest moment. The ending was beatiful. It's funny they used many sets from the ST TNG show in the movie during the part where they were walking through the ship hallways.

  • they should have let the Klingons die! For once, Spock was illogical and made the wrong decision

  • This one of my favorite Star Trek movies after Part 2, 3,and 4.

  • the fall of the soviet union IN SPACE!

    a great movie

  • One of my favorite Shakespeare quotes here.

  • Well I like 5 allot and I'm sure allot of people did too. It's not the best but it's not that bad. It's very Star Trek. It's more like a third season episode. I see allot great things about it that most people wouldn't. It didn't do well because Batman came out and pushed all the other movies out that year back 1989. ILM wasn't available to do the special effects so Shatner had to do his best with what he had and studio didn't give as much money as the other movies.

  • Descargando :)

  • has anyone else noticed that even numbered star trek film are better than odd numbered ones? except for the newest one

  • @maxrutc09 yes thats right

    all except nemesis

  • damn, i thought i was all clever realizing that, and then i found out everyone knew it

search for spock is also an exception, it's not as good as 2, 4, or 6, but it's still good

  • @maxrutc09 I agree

  • Great movie! I'm going to have to buy it.(on widecreen VHS that is)

This one of the ones I really liked next to II, IV, VIII, and XI

I, III, VII and, IX were pretty good, but I didn't really like V, and X(actually I hate V)

5/5, though again, why does this pretty much sum up the ENTIRE plot? :P

  • Thank you so much for sharing the trailer.

     5*

  • Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!!

  • Back when those of education wrote scripts alluding to Shakespeare...I wonder how many such allusions were made in the less-cerebral, more visceral remake.

  • The Undiscovered Country was my favorite of the originals, and I loved The Wrath Of Khan and The Voyage Home as well.

First Contact was easily the best TNG movie, and can weather comparrison to the above three fairly well, I believe.

  • This was a great film. It's my second fave of the originals after Khan. It was a perfect farewell from all of the original crew. I loved the political premise and the action. Too bad Generations came in and literally killed Kirk's character.

  • *Guess who's coming to dinner?* ;)

  • This & Star Trek II are my favs! 4 is really good.

  • I'm so glad Star Trek 6 came out and wiped up the mess of number 5.

  • 5 wasn't so bad. It was 'Generations' that I wasn't that fond of because of the lack of though in the killing of Kirk and also the ultra PC thing going at the time. But agreed that 6 was better. 6 would have been one of the best trek movies out of the six. Am excited as to how the new JJ Abrahms franchise works out!

  • My fav was Star Trek: The Motion Picture

  • Why? Cause I liked it. Nothing wrong with that, is there?

  • Unforgettable classic and by far my favorite Star Trek movie of all time.

  • I hope they make new TOS movies even if based on these, would be nice to have 21st cent effects? anyone agree that would be nice?

  • they did, that new star trek movie, the one where it shows captian kirk on his first ever mission aboard the enterprise.

  • O yeah I forgot about that sry

Well I was too thinking about editing in the 2000s special effects into the old movies that could be intresting

  • Star trek 6....the apologie

  • my fave was Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home!

  • star trek 5 was a complete joke, vi was a cure.

  • amen!

  • @kassop Whats "Star Trek 5", I there was no Star Trek 5, and the order was 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 11. . . Hmmm, I guess I just forgot about it.

  • @kassop Agreed, only good thing about Star trek 5 was "what does god need a starship for?"

  • This movie was such a rebound from the last forgettable flick!

  • omg i cant wait, when does it come out?

  • It's already out! Remember.. they killed Kirk off in Generations

  • what?!? hoe could they kill kirk?!?

  • 12/6/1991 or the 13th as I recall.

  • LOL! It's been out for 18 years, the one that's out now is the eleventh, this was the sixth...

  • Cool, I was going to go get everything up to Generations on dvd but these trailors work just fine.

  • What is with old school trailers giving away the entire plot?!

  • Gene Roddenberry died about sometime before the film opened in theaters. But he did like view a version of it before he died. Like a private screening or something I suppose. So at least it's good he managed to survive to see every adventure of his original crew. Can someone tell me what they mean about the Klingon Empire having 50 years of life and having the Federation helping out will save them from dying by the way?

  • The Klingon moon Praxis exploded. Their atmosphere would have been severely affected or depleted in 50 Earth years. Praxis was also a key energy facility for the Klingons.

  • Yeah, so what do you suppose could've caused the explosion in the first place? And how exactly could there atmosphere affect or deplete the entire Empire in 50 Earth years or something like that?

  • Not really sure what could have caused that. The explanation given in the novel and the film was that it was caused by overmining.

  • was that 1 eye klenong the captian of the star ship enterpiez E

  • possibly the best of all the movies, whether TOS or TNG cast! This movie was more like a TOS episode than any of the other movies, but with up to date special effects and film quality.

  • How is this like a TOS episode? Not that I disagree with you, just that I am curious how you came to that conclusion.

  • this fim was great!! Brings back my childhood.

  • The film had a great soundtrack.

  • if only we could forget star trek 1 and 5...

  • I think 4 was good. one of my favorites, to each their own i guess. one thing we probably can agree on is that the trek movies are pretty representative of trek as a whole... 40% is good... 40% is ok... and 20% is really bad.

  • I agree etherialmoiety. I was told by a few people not to waste my time with Trek 1 but one day I decided to rent it anyway. I was pleasantly suprised as to how much I enjoyed it. It really was very different than any of the sequals and benefited from being the only one that didn't feel like it was made cheap. It also was hands down the best directed of the six. Very underrated film. However Wrath of Khan is still my favorite.

  • I'm not much of a Star Trek fan, but this was a great movie.

  • "The galaxy stands at a crossroads."

"Now, the crew of the Starship Enterprise fights not to win battles, but to end them. Forever."

  • there are two release dates; on this trailer it was Dec. 6, 91, and the first trailer had it as Dec. 13, 91...which one is right????

  • they move the release date to the 6th

  • the final true great star trek movie.

  • @henkman00 what about First Contact

  • @elcap22

I don't think "First Contact" wasn't as classy or meaningful as this movie. Picard was totally out of character in it for one thing.

  • My favourite Star Trek movie...though first contact was almost as awesome

  • This trailer sends shivers up and down my spine its so good.

Apart from Wrath of Khan, this is the best of the lot. The first 20 mins are superb! and that classic quote: "Let them die!"

  • Die deutschen Stimmen kommen mir inziwschen voll fremd vor. So oder so, klasse Film

  • This is a great movie probably my 3rd favorite of the movies just under the second movie and the 8th...

  • looks awesome! and i have to say that vulcan female looks might attractive. (meow)

  • That's a young Kim Catrall (sp?).

  • that it is. with black hair and pointy ears :D

  • hahahahaha. seen Sex and the City. because that mighty attractive vulcan is the same woman that plays Samantha (Sexaholic) Jones. And I love her cause she ROCKS!

  • Watch Big Trouble in Little China now.

  • I've seen it, Gracie Law is awesome.

  • This sucker ranked right up there with Wrath of Kahn. Big time.

Too bad none of the movies since have even come close. (Well except for ST8.)

  • my next to favorite movie! thanks! I think--the best is ST II

  • so do alot of ppl

  • My favorite star trek movie. Awesome! :)
