season 5 imo was fine, it was about Dexter and how he copes rather than kill kill kill. if you watch all of the seasons together it fits in with the learning curve he has about the world and what can go wrong. i think the dark passanger wouldnt allow him to have a normal life anyway, something would probably have to give. i would have liked Lumen to stick around though and them to have tied arthur to Jordan Chase seomehow to tie up the rita loose end.

@TityBoi All actors from "DEXTER" only signed up for 6 seasons with Showtime, so as it stands now there is no 7th season planned. So season 6 might be the really last one before the show ends OR before a long break since signing all actors again for another season takes a lot of time and paperwork and money. So my guess is, it all depends on the quotes of season 6 if dexter will be continued for more blood :)
