The conquistadors here came from England. And for the most part, the most vocal advocates of strict immigration are those who know that history have this nasty habit or repeating itself. Regardless your argument is weak in many other respects. North American at the time of its discovery wasn't a sovereign nation. It was wild, untamed, and unclaimed unlike the America today.

If you want to make that argument then all humans are illegal immigrants since humans originated out of Africa.

Also USA is a sovereign nation even tho it was never properly founded, there's only the declaration of independance issed after the fact. and if there were only 2 million people here so what? a nation with a low population density is still a nation.
