Actually the humans did not release the flood guilty spark specifically states ( I believe the other species currently on the installation is responsible for releasing the flood. They seem most interested in accessing restricted areas. But for some reason I think this A.I spark was talking to could be in the next halo trilogy.
Maybe the unknown construct could be related to the Timeless One, allying with the covenant so that his installation, Installation 01, will be found and he will be freed. Or it could just be some covenant AI who is completely clueless about the flood. Hope its the first one though.
@BrutalT2 he's not referring to the release of the flood, but the detonation of the halo array. it would wipe out all life, but the AI would remain... "Free" i suppose to roam the universe gathering information as it pleases.
@rickyross182 The flood where released by humans after deactivating Halo's security systems on The silent cartographer *pushes up nerd glasses and snorts*
@BigBrother1993 *pushes up even bigger nerd glasses* the covenant were the first to release it. (they worked pretty hard to lock it down when they did realize what they released)
@rickyross182 lol no the ai didnt do it. the actual covenant did it. think it was some grunts. its in one of the halo books. but the covenant ai did nothing to stop them
@rickyross182 well actually the covenant did this, i think the idea of this terminal is just expressing the ship's excitement for the detonation of the halo, as it would eradicate it's "masters"
kind of explains why the ships AI (which should contain equal knowledge to Cortana) did nothing to prove Halo's real purpose to the prophets
@Endor1024 I, also, have been wanting to know the track that plays during this terminal; after hearing it towards the end of the episode Origins II. I even got the soundtrack, but it doesn't even seem to be present on it. It's disappointing.
that construct means that after the "great journey" he will be free? or in control of the galaxy? Perhaps that covanant AI will grow to be a force in the new trilogy.

So this is how the flood was released. The stupid covenant AI hacked the place and let it free.
Stupid alien religious motherfuckers.

Very Important question: What Halo Legend songs are being used in this video?
