I did not remember this as being THAT good, the detail and character is truely commendable. They certainly couldn't really have added much more 'energy'' with the song, although I think the rambling jazz rhythm works brilliantly - subtly genius.There is no where to hide in this if it goes wrong, I suspect the slower music requires more precision and that's what it got. Miles better than Pamela's clumbsy mess of a charleston, which got 10s I believe...hmm.

The judges know that by awarding technically good female contestants high marks early on can hurt them, look at Rachel Stevens. Kara is obviously the best dancer in the show and they're building her up.

I bet the Charleston experts were shocked when they heard the marks for this. Not only did they nail the technique, they put so much Charleston detailing through the routine...eveything was so precise and they even got the head shake. Not every Charleston is frantic and slapstick, there are cool sassy versions of the dance and that's what Kara and Artem did. OK, it could have had a bit more energy, but it's not an energetic song, it's a creeping jazz track.

@NandoMasch i totaly agree, the judges seem to be constantly undermarking them, and making the public think that there dance isnt as good as it is
