I wander was Crockett skimming from the drug dealers? how can a cop live on a boat and drive a convertible ( I think a ferrari), cigarette speed boats and a killer wardrobe. Most cops cannot afford the alligator he had on the boat for a guard dog. I get it, its only tv, but just a bit much.

Great show and saved Miami when the image was not so great, in the early 1980's. I had all the Crocket light jackets over the pastel muscle T.

@ampana Hi the clothes and cars were confiscated from drug dealers. there was a law passed at the time to use it for police operations which is why they were able to use that story line, Don also mentions that in a later show with shena easten. i think it is a( Rock and a hard place ) the episode is called. loved the show i never missed a episode in the 80s i was a teenager and each show was like a mini movie, very cool and glamorous.

Until today nothing can be compare with the extraordinary social and cultural impact from Miami Vice to the society of that moment. In my country everybody wanted to look either like Tubbs or Sonny, the clothing pastel colors, the hair style, the barefoot fashion style, the music. It was just one of a kind. I hope that some day they'll make at least one movie reunion (with the originals), It's going to be a Home Run !
