on the subject of best ultras. are you talking about damage or best to use cause if so sagats is the best using it with combos and canceling, also i would say blankas is the best when used close cause its hard to avoid

that focus cancel dash is killer for penetrating any blocks...I wish I had some skills like that...all I do is tiger uppercuts half a mile away from my opponent and then get welcomed in the ground by whatever...

sagat is the best and cheapest character in the game. if u play him with a low tier character like C. Viper or Vega, u have no chance of beating him, even though I won a round against Zak once with C. Viper, but I think he just wasnt playing seriously or he hadnt played many C. VIpers before. Zangrief is the second best character in the game with the most life, and the most stun resist, and third is ryu, who has the best ultimate (either best or second after raging demon). I'm Ryu hope I helped

i dont think gief is the second best. especially against a dhalsim player. or any good ken player. and why is ryu's ultra the best? it doesnt do that much damage.

ya i posted that a month ago, right around when the game had come out in the UK. i know better now lol. Ryus is id say the 5th or 6th best ultra after (in order) Blankas, Giefs, Abels, Akumas, and then its a toss up between Ryu and Sagat.

and ya gief is actually really easy to beat if u know how. i use ryu so really all i do is fireball and make him jump, and if he wont jump i just bait focus attacks which ALWAYS makes people jump and then i just combo into my ultra with small shoryuken :P

i would also throw in guile's ultra as a top three just because you can super into his ultra for a more than nice combo.

is HK has alot of reach and height so it actually is a great anti-air strike. so good luck with the "just jump over his floor fire" the best way for a gief player is to absorb any fire and dash in.

thats kinda the point of zangief though. his throws and ultra do alot of damage! Plus his throws u can use ex. which is devastating in close. Im just surprised that player didnt use his flash punch into a throw.

Cause you can't grab someone when he's hit? Unless it is a Focus Attack, there is no way you can combo someone in a grab.

actually u can. you can jab and then do a throw. as long as you dont jab someone more than once this should work. You can also do a a body press into a throw. the body press is an aerial maneuver when used right can actuall cancel out the dragon punch.

You can't grab opponents when they're hit, period.

The only exception is the focus attack.

That you grab them straight after a jab, is because they're hit animation is finished.

I didnt know if you were talking about the animation or just the combo in general. Unfortunetly with the flash punch they hae a little time to hit you. If you hit them then the animation should end in perfect time for the throw. I use it alot to jumping players online because it helps me get behind them and then throw there ass.

True, very true, he is acutally one of the better characters in the game, but I was never very good with Sagat, im more of a charge character (Dictator and Boxer)
