@DHSeaVixen I read an interview where Alonso said he never disliked Hamilton, it was Ron Dennis who he had nothing but contempt for. He said he felt "betrayed" during his time at McLaren.

Hamilton got a penalty for gaining an advantage by cutting the chicane yes? If he had given the position back after La Source he would not have been given the penalty because he would have given away the advantage that he gained. However at 0:54 does he not "give" the place back? (thus meaning that he should not have been given the penalty after the race)

I remember this race as it was yesterday, one of the greatest seasons with one of the greatest races in Spa. Race was so thrilling i stood up the whole time in front of the TV, cus it was that nerve-wrecking. It was sad to see Kimi hit the wall in the end, but you know, those guys gave their everything to entertain the fans and fight for the win.

It was when several drivers, including Raikkonen, and probably Hamilton still had the slick tyres (designed for dry conditions) with the expectation that the track would be drying up, but some of them changed tyres a bit too early, so some, or at least Kimi slipped around and crashed. That's why.

Alonso on the other hand comes to ferrari in 2010 and has made Massa his slave, while Kimi was outperformed by the brazillian in 2008 and 2009.

Yeah, I'm still waiting an answer to my question. Alonso is now at Ferrari, no titles. Red Bull is now the best car, so Vettel is winning. I'm still expecting an explanation. Räikkönen has been the fastest over the years, that much is clear. He was never known as a great car developer, so Ferrari's presumed superiority is highly questionable. He finished second twice in the championship also, which makes one wonder what could have been if he had been more committed to his teams.

I guess Ferrari had a very bad tyre management system, the car simply couldn't find any grip with the tyres. Kimi pushed a car which quite simply couldn't perform in those conditions !

Hamilton Should NOT have been punished, this is exactly the same situation as Alonso in 2005 Japan, look it up if you don't believe me, Alonso didn't get punished, so why should Hamilton be?

@vizkkviz - In 2007 Kimi had the best car and won the title by 1 point. In 2008 Raikkonen had the best car and lost the title by 23 points. In 2009 Massa whopped his ass yet again until his accident in Hungary... Kimi Raikkonen is an overrated, overpaid driver whose laziness got the better of him. Thankfully he ran off..

2005, Alonso 3 fastest laps, Räikkönen 10 fastest laps.
2007, Alonso 3 fastest laps, Räikkönen 6 fastest laps.
2008, Alonso 0 fastest laps, Räikkönen 12 fastest laps.

Oh you mean unlike Seb Vettel? The fact of the matter is that the only driver who has more fastest laps per GP is Michael Schumacher, but he had practically no competition between 2001 - 2004. And even he beats Räikkönen just barely. Räikkönen is the most gifted driver of his time, he's problem is his attitude, lack of commitment and lack of reliability.

@Molo19 - Sorry fastest laps are pointless. Webber is dominating the fastest lap chart this season yet it's obvious Vettel has completely obliterated him. In 2008 Kimi may have had the most fastest laps but he also had the best car and he only won twice. Even Hamilton won 5 races in an inferior car to Kimi that year and Massa won 6. Alonso on the other hand comes to ferrari in 2010 and has made Massa his slave, while Kimi was outperformed by the brazillian in 2008 and 2009.

What deos Webber have to with anything? Kimi beats Webber litterally in every conceivable statistic. Fact is Kimi was fastest with Ferrari and with McLaren. Hell, he almost had podiums in his rookie season in a freaking Sauber.
Now instead of telling me why Kimi's speed doesnt count in your opinion, explain to me instead why I should accept that Alonso and Hamilton's lack of speed makes them infinitely better than Kimi.

@Molo19 - I brought up Webber because he is dominating the fastest lap chart this season when in reality he has been piss poor against Vettel who is spanking his ass week in and week out. Fastest laps don't mean jackshit.
As team mates Massa scored 12 poles to Kimi's 5. Therefore we can easily say that Massa is simply faster than Kimi. Kimi was getting paid 5 times what Massa was getting, which means he should have been 5 times the driver Massa was but instead Felipe always had his measure..

Yeah, I'm still waiting an answer to my question. Alonso is now at Ferrari, no titles. Red Bull is now the best car, so Vettel is winning. I'm still expecting an explanation. Räikkönen has been the fastest over the years, that much is clear. He was never known as a great car developer, so Ferrari's presumed superiority is highly questionable. He finished second twice in the championship also, which makes one wonder what could have been if he had been more committed to his teams.
