@speakwhileyoucan: You actually recognized the sarcasm in my post. I commend you, sir! The entire scam is a fix, and we're not a member of their private little club. There is NO way this country could ever repay the debt our own Congress has hoisted upon us.
The blame rests solely on the American consumer for NOT spending more at strip malls. They could have just borrowed the money, but instead they stayed home. Now, we have strip malls going under, which will then make the Commercial real estate market to fall, etc. Maybe the Legislature could pass a law MANDATING that every family MUST borrow a specific amount of money to spend at strip malls. Isn't that what government is supposed to do; force us to COMPLY?
If I were Gerald Celente I would be very offended and pissed off. He's been right time after time and yet so many people don't heed what he says. Too big to fail? How about too big to make smart decisions? How about we break them up.
I think Gerald is smart enough not to waste his time with unsalvagable ignorant minds and government breast feed people who will never see the light. He has a little bit of an ego too, but its a healthy ego and he should have it. What do you think he would say to Obama right know if they came face to face. I don't know, but he would say it, exactly how it is with no fear, leaving Obama rattling off political spins to avoid the subject He would walk away not even caring how anyone feels.
Nobody wants to hear this and won't believe it until it unfolds. Human nature. We have grown up in a fake environment....and now some excellent opportunities are going to emerge. It's better to be aware and prepared for the new and better economy. The old way is baked.
