That's okay, I'll say it again: Send me a message with your name, rank, unit, duty location, and AF email address and I'll have a guy from 1st SF Group tell you you're wrong.
That's not what you said. You said that they came under fire from a copter that crashed. Go look.
Dude, I know perfectly well what PJs do. Don't get all butt hurt because you and the rest of your Coastie wannabe friends don't get the same respect as SEALs, Rangers, et. al. You are not picked to go after guys like OBL because you don't have the skills. SEALs do. It's not my fault that you are not a unique snowflake.
"...they came under fire from the helo which made a very rough landing." - Makes no sense (reword).
"PJ's are trained in Combat." - No where close to SEALs, Rangers, and SF is. I know perfectly well what PJs do.
"The training is on par in difficulty with the Navy SEAL's and they are respected in SF community. " - Shows what you know. 1) "SF" is the name for Green Berets. No one else in SOCOM uses it. 2) If they had the same respect, they'd get the same missions.
"A Quick Reaction Team was sent that consisted of Rangers, CCT, and PJ's, and they got pinned down as well..."
Probably the PJs faults.
Dude, it's very painful that I have to explain this to you. Somebody that does the same job as a Coastie is not on the same level as a SEAL. This is not up for debate in or out of the SOF community. And I don't need any further explanation of how the military works or what it takes. I've been there and done that.
Wrong on both counts. Dropout rates mean nothing. They can be just as indicative of a low class of recruits as opposed to difficulty of a program. And PJs have no idea how to conduct direct action missions. It ain't in their skill set. that's like saying MP SRT can do what Delta can....just dumb.
I know a lot of women, and I know a lot of BAD women, but you don't hear me bashing them.
Again, your comments reek of a sort of jealously driven self pity. You obviously don't like the cards you've been dealt in life, so you go around complaining and/or trying to bring everyone down to your level. Get over it. Don't hate trash talk these guys because they're trying to better themselves (a life goal you've likely never attempted). They're not the reason you have daddy issues.
Requirements change depending on the needs of the service. However, you will likely need to be a high school graduate, have no physical deficiencies (hearing, eyesight, etc.), and score relatively high on the ASVAB (a basic military entrance exam). Along with that, you will need to be in excellent physical condition.
I should've said "major" physical deficiencies. I'm not 20/20 either, but I was barred from any training the military had available (for the record: I was Army, not Navy). Lasik is usually a no-go.
As long as you're not color-blind (you need to be able to distinguish wire colors, especially when working with high powered explosives) and have vision that's correctable to 20/20, you should be fine.
i watched a Documentry on the Devils Bregade and they took some volinteers throught what the Bregade whent throught one was a seal and he quit after about 5 days and the seals are suposed to be the best if the one seal can't do then what is going on they should make the training tuffer not weaker but the bleeding hearts would rather see thees men die at the hand of a cowerd than have them go into a suiside mition and servive
@MDkid1 It's not rape if it's willing or consentual. Each of these recruits knew what they signed up for and what they were getting into and they can quit at any time. This is what is needed to be the US elite of the elite.
@MDkid1 SEALs are specially trained to enter the most dangerous areas unsupported where a single mistake can cost the lives of everyone in their team. This training to test each students' resolve and will. The instructors will play with their breaking point and pile on the pressure to see if they can take the stress; because when they enter a hostile environment, they'll need to be familiar with being tired and stressed out so they can carry out their mission regardless of the situation.
Don't get all wet over crazy4sian. He's a lower enlisted airman and not anywhere close to a SEAL. He has no right to use the word "us" like he did in his last comment (and should be ashamed of making the implication). The AF is the easiest branch of the military, and an low ranking airman with as much time for YouTube as crazy4sian obviously has is a fucking P-O-G, a.k.a. nowhere near the average grunt, much less tip of the spear SOF.
And if you want to get all butthurt over it, crazy4sian: I'm an Army vet ('01-'06) from when initial entry military training was actually hard and deployments were aplenty.
If you ain't gettin' shot at, you ain't working hard enough. Since you have so much time for YouTube, this obviously applies to you.
As you are a lower enlisted troop in the easiest branch of service, I think you owe every SEAL a public apology, right here and right now, for implying that you somehow experience what they do. An E-3 that hangs out and boasts on YouTube has no right using the word "us" like you did, and obviously has too much time on his hands, to imply that he can do what SEALs can do.
@NathanAGoss Didn't mean to offend you, sir, and while it's true that I'm a "lower" Airman in the "easiest" branch of the military, I won't apologize just because you misinterpreted my comment. True, I am not a SEAL nor do I truly know what they experience(d). Never would I even put myself on their level, but I do know we all have a job to do. Every branch has their elite, and unless you know who PJ's are, sir, I'm afraid calling us "easy" is just grossly wrong.
@crazy4sian I didn't misinterpret you one damn bit. Quote:
"For us, this is just another day at the office."
"This" is referring to the video (you say such previously), and therefore "us" implies that you're somehow a SEAL or you do what SEALs do. You need a lesson in reading comprehension.
Do you honestly think PJs are special? Paratroopers in the Army (like my former self) do that shit everyday and don't consider themselves special. Only the AF does that shit. You are a POG.
I gave him two responses. Make sure you read both.
Anyway, he's lucky a SEAL hasn't seem his comment. A tongue lashing would be the least of his worries. Frankly, he needs shut the fuck up, realize his place on the totem pole, and get back to work. I don't think his superiors, nor taxpayers, are okay with him pounding his chest on YouTube. If he was my troop, I'd have taken him in the latrine and let the rest of my squad beat his ass for saying that shit a long time ago.
But you're bothered enough to take the comment in question down, I see. And you're bothered enough to be a coward by not responding to me directly.
You are a fucking lower enlisted peon with too much time for YT. I can't wait for you to go on your first deployment (of course, the AF sits around like a bunch of FOBBITs anyway, so I don't see you, as a lower enlisted nothing, doing anything worth a damn anyway). I remember seeing guys like you piss their pants when in the shit.
@hydrollama He's bothered enough to take the comment down without responding to the criticism, though. crazy4sian is a fucking coward and disgrace to the uniform (probably why he's in trouble with his chain of command like he says on his deviant art page).
