Crystal I used to like you but now it seems you are intent on going political which is a shame. You are a very talented singer, song writer and musician so do that and keep your politics to yourself because I don't really give a shit about what you think about anything. Nothing short of amazing. This woman deserves to win American Idol. With the raw talent and feeling behind every song she sings, she is the only one that seemingly gives it her all every time she steps to the microphone. Thanks for this upload, loved this song! I didn't realize that she wrote it herself, it's style is a bit different from her other songs that I've heard (a stronger rhythm, maybe?) It reminds me a bit of the melody of King Herod's song on Jesus Christ Superstar, a swinging rhythm & jazzy sound - very memorable. It also reminds of Hit the Road Jack.
And some things in this life of ours are worth fighting for -- our survival is one of them. War is hell or it's "hellbent on hell below" but I think Crystal is also saying there is only One True God that doesn't teach strapping on a bomb to murder one's self and others nor does He teach violent retalitory aggression.

Crystal's ability to write songs ranging from lighthearted to those that dig deep is impressive. Songwriters = poets, and poetry reveals/ reflects the world in a way that elicits feelings/thoughts in those who listen. What this song elicited in me is best summarized in a quote from Neitzche: He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.". Politics aside, the song is well written, well sung!
