However, I would be delighted to wake up and find the characters out of Mr. Eoin Colfer's books are real. Even Miss Opal, she might bring Artemis's edge back. And she would be a nice challenge. There's always enough room for another evil creature in this world. Without problems, there would be no opportunities, and without opportunities, there would be no proving oneself. It's not Mr. Colfer's fault the graphic novels ignore the book descriptions of the characters. By extension, it's not his fault this guy ended up being hired as Artemis.

^_^' Somehow I don't think Mr. Colfer would get an actor that he didn't think portrayed the character properly. I think all the people who are critical of the actor probably misunderstood the character and had false ideas about him so now they're disappointed about what the character is really like. Which is to be expected, we can't all be on the same page as the author. I, for one, want to see what the character is really like; and who would know better than mr. Colfer?

@GremlinYomi Mr. Colfer didn't choose this actor, Disney did. This was probably a cheap actor, since they don't want to spend money something like this, since this doesn't bring in very much money. If it would, they'd probably chosen someone more expensive.

@Rickgaarn I don't know if that's true or not- I have not seen anything about who chose the actor. But he was standing right next to the actor. If 'Artemis' wasn't playing the character properly then Mr. Colfer would have told him about it. Maybe it's naive of me but I just don't think Mr. Colfer is the type of person to let someone misrepresent his character. And besides, we haven't really seen much of this actor. I mean, maybe he's horrible and I'll eat my words, but maybe not. :]
