I always try to leave comments, I think it lets people know their time and effort in making those videos are appreciated, it's cool to get to watch people's stuff for free here and it costs nothing to give some feedback either :)

on all my 575 subscribers I have set my google account email to get notified of any new uploads so as soon as someone uploads a new vid I get it and comment the only trouble is a lot of people dont comment on my vids so what I do now is watch everyone who leaves a comment on my videos and I comment on their videos and the rest I comment on every 5th video

Good policy! Support those that support you. I am a serial commenter, I reckon I comment on at least 80% of vids I watch.

I totally agree with you. Subscribers quickly lose interest in your channel if you never bother commenting on their videos. Like you, I prioritize watching videos of others who support me by watching and leaving comments on my channel. I also unsubscribe from other channels if they have not subbed my channel.
