It's the wheel; it's not laced tight, the hub is shit, the rims are flexing thier guts out, whatever. The swingarm on the Heckler stays true the whole time. Tbh, the single pivot of the Heckler is inherently flexy compared to newer swing-link designs, such as the Butcher or Foes FXR. Lateral flex isn't good for the shock, but it's not noticable when riding. It's virtually flex free compared to many 4-bar linkage designs. The SC Heckler is an awesome bike, one of the classic mtbs of all time.

Hub is fine. Pivots are fine. Its an inherently flexy design. Common knowledge!
