  • Like, totally brah!

  • I was expecting you to light up a blunt there at the end.

  • lol,,,a little to much Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

  • The real Californian accent, like the first one in the video, really is how people in California (and the West Coast, in my opinion, sound). We sound so boring! I want a REAL accent.

  • Ok....I thought I was the only one who talked like that. O.o

  • HAHAHAHAHA 0:12

  • hahahahahahazhahaha! BINGO! >;-)

  • I have an Californian accent and it's mix of a lot of things so if you heard me speak I sound different all the time bc I it

  • I thought it was Tobey Maguire from Spiderman lol

  • LMFAO!! This was hilarious! Californians are funny people...and weird...you guys really need to have your own country

  • it felt like anthony kiedis suddenly appeared in the video

  • California has a lot of everything meshed into an accent. Mexican, canadian, and midwestern. You sound like you're more from the midwest.

  • th first accent is the actualy REAL california accetn which is basically the STANDARD for american english... the funny second accent you did is just a minority of white trash hippies that talk like that due to drugs

  • still smoking a loootttt of weed in California, don't you???

  • His 1st accent's a true CAL one. Hi!

His 2nd's an "LA area surfer/stoner" accent. Duuude.

Bits of it can be found all over CAL. Dude.

An old stoner one. Hey man.

The "Vally girl" accent, found in the LA area. Like totally fer sure!

The effeminate Yuppie accent, found mainly in the mid to So CA areas. Hi guys.

Some people born in CAL even have a slight Texas accent. At's right!.

They're everywhere. I think because their parents/grandparents came to CA from the South during the Depression.

  • im from so cal and its more like " wat up BRO , , ,lets go out cruising for some pussy lol im serious lol exept the pussy part thats where u add ur own touch, for me its more like chicks, babes, etc

  • do a black accent please

i know some people will complain about it..

  • @kmstmy im black but dat would be HILARIOUS

  • @kmstmy black accents depends on geographic location, new york, southernm Oakland

  • Californians still have a sing-song-y accent. It might have something to do with Spanish influence though.

  • @garybsg first of all, it's called a MEXICAN accent, not spanish. second of all, people from california don't even come close to having a mexican accent. i should know cuz i live in california about 1 hour from the mexican border.

  • @ilovesparky13 well dude, I live in Los Angeles and I hear spainish all around me. I see parents speaking spanish to their children and their children speaking spanish not mexican to their parents.

  • @garybsg that's different cuz they actually SPEAK spanish. but a lot of californians don't so of course they don't have that accent. they might have this weird combo of an american and a mexican accent accent from hearing it for so long, but they won't have the same accent as someone who is mexican.

  • No no no... thats not how EVERYONE in California talks, only the stoner surfers in Malibu and Huntington Beach.

  • Thats how people from Malibu, Venice, or Santa Monica talk

  • lol California accents. damn there is not unniversal accent from CA. its soo diverse. you got stoner californian, bay area black ebonics, mexican accents, from the north and southern parts, then central valley talk, then mountian folk in the sierras have their own accent.

  • your california accent accent sounds like any stoner in usa or canada

  • @FlyCharlieboy : wtf nobody in Cali talks like that. At least not that many people in Fontana, LA, Orange County, Ontario, and Rancho. I've never actually met anybody that ever talks like that naturally in California. Ever.

  • @Fangscream You have heard under 1% of the population of California. There is men who do speak this way.

  • @Fangscream well I have, so, if yo have not then i dont know. haahha

  • The bay area has the most unique Cali accent

  • nailed it!

  • that's not how people in San Francisco talk

  • i use "you kow what i mean" dude, bro, fool, sick, dank, wassup, doubt it! and like a LOT!

  • huh....I actually talk like that.....with a bit less "man."

  • hi your monotone

  • To think we owe that accent to stoners.

  • what an undead

  • YEAH BUDDYY!! ;D

  • Like Californian speak like they like ODed on Prozac & Xanax... dude.

  • @Badwsky

Yes, California is the doped state of the Union. Even non-addict Californian people have some junkie talk in their speech.

  • @powerdriller10 California has a diverse population so its hard to really stereotype the state as a whole. The north is more pro-weed while the South is pretty conservative. Not to mention the huge Hispanic population we have. There is no Cali accent.

  • lol he's funny i live in California & i NEVER met anyone that talks like that i know he was making fun though

  • hahahahaha love it!

  • well done !

  • I live in NH and a lot of people talk like that. I think people talk how they want to. Its not just geographical

  • This is a long shot away from how I talk, but I can name quite a few people who sound exactly like this... most of them are stoners, surfers, or both. :e

  • I live in Maryland and I know a guy who talks like that lol

  • are u actually calafornian

  • @916evan bay area!!! woot woot!

  • LMFAO LOL THESE VIDEOS ARE CAPITAL.

  • A bit exaggerated but I suppose it passes :)

  • thats more of a southern californian accent. i live in northern california and ive only ever met one person that sounds like that.

  • legit, totally AWESOME, whatup, wassup. homey, "you know what I mean" bounce, "get out of(or outta) here" and "sick"

most common words/phrases that are widely used

  • @CareToLaxBrah ive never used any of those

  • @RazDazTV are you from NorCal or SoCal?

  • @CareToLaxBrah SoCal

  • comprende uno nombre ocho dudeee

  • lol not gonna lie, i talk like this all the time, im a straight up skater/surfer from nor cal and the accent just grew on me hella.

  • yes i have a spain accent

  • There are 35 million people in California. About a couple of thousand probably talk like this. The rest of us don't. I live in the Central Valley and no one talks even remotely like this.

  • I know this pothead who talks just like this. The surfer accent is mostly found in SoCal, alot of kids that came north for school talk like this at my college.

  • the surfer accent and the "dude" calling trend was strong in the 80s, but now it's hard to find someone like that. educated californians don't talk like that.

  • @AEROLITE89 i agree.

  • I'm somehow proud of the California stereotype accent. "GNARLY DUUUDE!"

  • Holy Crap, in San Jose, this accent is alive and well with the guys. I sort of like it though. It sounds a little cool . Yes and the word dude is everywhere lol.

  • people in long beach actually sound like this?

  • you sound like Bill and Ted, lol. I dont use that accent. Probably because i'm from San Diego. And we speak normal. What your portraying, is a surfer accent.

  • "Comprende uno nombre ocho." xD

  • I really didn't think Californians had a accent besides surfer.

  • this is the best american accent

  • in think partially due to the famous "BC Bud" ..there are a lot of people who talk like this in BC canada to haha

  • Dude im not gunna front but i talk like this "The ganjas hitting me man" has come out of my mouth several times.

  • Hahhaha too close to me and my friends

  • good job

  • I'm from SoCal but I don't really see this accent. :/ Unless it's some people trying to sound cool or something, from what I've noticed. We just talk normally.... I think. xD

  • comprehend one man eight? that´s what you said on spanish?

  • U SHOULD DO THE GHETTO ACCENTS IN CALIFORNIA LOL THAT WOULD BE PRICELSS!

  • @BostonSecret45 Oh really? Somebody sounds jealous...

@ZoeFowl I'm from Cali, and I say dude, dude.

  • @ZoeFowl good speech.

  • yeah some dudes talk like but not so many girls talk in the valley way lol

  • I live in the central valley but visit the beach soooo much so that accent is usual to me. But mainly people in the valley are all mexican lol so there is alot of slow talking mexican accent people

  • woah dude u got it right on the muny, all of us her in cali sound totally like that

  • I was born and raised in Cali and I gotta say....you totally nailed this dude. =D

  • haha this is so true

  • @nanbam123 That's a So Cal thing. In Nor Cal, we don't say "like" a lot, unless you're a sorority girl. We (more so in the SF Bay Area) say "hella," which usually pisses off So Cal people.

  • @kedybee Oh, yeah. I've heard of the "hella" thing. It pisses me off just reading it.

  • i'm from italy and i like californian accent (but sometimes it's quite difficoult to understand)

  • Haha like totally cool man

  • Im from california and ill admit i say dude and man a lot but i dont think i sound so baked hahaha!!

  • lol you are such a dork, and i love it.

  • looooool

  • very british looking

  • You are so silly, but I love it!!! Keep the vids coming. You should divide the Southern accent videos up. People in TN/KY/WV sound distinctly different from those in the Deep South.

  • What you did is an El Segundo Beach accent. Dude, California has lots of various accents. But I do talk like that when I'm high. Touché.

  • I live in California, and I sound nothing like that... >>Southern Californian<<

  • @monstaisawsum Twas a joke dude, I live in California and you're right, most of us don't sound like that, some actually do though, but it's mostly stoners and surfers and such.

  • this is totally beach/surfer accent all along the west coast. in hawaii you find this too, but of course only from mainland immigrants.

  • I live in California and I know PLENTY of people who talk like that! I grew up near Santa Cruz and along the beach there are beach heads who sound just like that. There are also variations of this in intensity. It's real people. It is out there.

  • @JesusManson323 Yes, here in SoCal too.

  • @JesusManson323 Lol. I talk like that sometimes. For fun though. Not everybody talks like that, maybe surfers, and pot heads. Oh-yeah. SANTA CRUZ ROCKS!!!!!!!

  • @JesusManson323 im from santa cruz!!!

  • LMFAO!

  • Um not a lot of Californians talk like that, because if they did then I would be very annoyed. But people in California say "like" a lot. Like this. "That was like totally cool"!

    :)

  • im from california and i dont talk like that

  • You're not completely off with this video. My friend from San Fran has that kind of "dragging" tone to his words.

  • Hey, that's Bill and Ted Bogus Journey.

  • Sean Penn from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

  • People born in the Rockies and all points west in the U.S. do not have accents. People from Washington state over to Idaho down to Arizona and back over to California and Nevada do not have accents. I've lived in Washington, Oregon and California and there is no difference because there is no accent.

  • Western American accents sound way better than central and eastern. :) I am from Arizona and our accent is just like California's.

  • ahahahah only white boys talk like that in Cali. In urban places it's all "nigga, nigga" or "ya'll aint cool"

  • Random ass pictures of Cheech and Chong at the end there.

  • what did i just watch lol

  • my friends also say i speak like tht im from east LA i dont think i really talk like that but i guess i do
