This movie is one my favorits of all time. Silver - morals, spirituality - keep the evil inside us a bay, once let out, watch out. Need the light of truth to lock it back up. Anamazing music, and cinamtogrphy. Mann trade mark scene, silent screem - Last of the Mohicans, and that look back, also used in the village scene of Last of Mohicans. Xhey are not Einsatzkommandos, they are Wehrmacht (regular army) soldiers and they have nothing to do with nazism. I very much liked the zio5q responce that people are too stupid to know the difference, especially then there is so much disinformation coming from the west countries and especially usa.

The SS and einsatzkommandos most likely didn't wear black uniforms in WW2, as most of the SS men traded in black uniforms for the field gray types.

However, the black uniform is a perfect backdrop to these soldiers, because you think of them as the soldiers in black who brought death.

This is a reply to everyone....

These two soldiers are Wehrmacht soldiers. They are supposed to be portrayed as regular guys, who are just doing what they are told, and keeping guard.

The black SS soldiers are indeed einsatzkommando, however there is some speculation as well as debate as to the actual genuine portrayal in the movie as opposed to what they would had done in WW2.

Really who cares man, the movie is awesome as hell. And all these actors did a great job.

Breathtaking movie and mindblowing music. Way overdue for DVD release. Hopefully these positive comments will kick Paramount in the ass to release it on DVD. I mean, damn, they don't make movies like this anymore.

I don't know the name of the song but I have it. It's on Tangerine Dream's Logos album. The cd is a recording of a live show, so you can't go directly to the track, but its on that cd.
