I prefer to revisit videos according to my own volition to follow the continuation of dialogue in comments. It is somewhat annoying to me to have every video I have ever watched re-appear among vids from those I am subscribed to. Inclined to regard this as an issue YT should address. Inclined to believe, also, that I am not alone in holding this view.
Odd - Not sure why this showed as "new" again for you. I haven't done any "pushing" or "sharing" of this (or any) videos other than an initial link on twitter/Facebook when a video first posts. Another YT bug?
I should thank all the makers of pet videos on behalf of all the apartment dwellers like myself who would like to own their own pet, but can't. And then for those like me who look too ugly to grow their own there is watching the beard-wearing vloggers . They should be thanked.
Interesting ideas - We can expand that to include those who do vlogs while eating so those of us on diets can get a vicarious thrill, and those who get drunk on camera so we can attend the party without driving our cars into trees, .... so many people to thank!
Another wonderfully inspirational video, but you only made this video in a park - while musosf went up into a plane - top that! haha jk (ps I don't want to see an airplane bathroom video thankuverymuch) - 5 stars if not disabled. If the influence was bad, should we still write the person a note (just kidding again) . .. . thanks for making a thinking video :-)
A couple of days ago, I went to my girlfriend's volleyball game. She's on the JV team, so the games are actually pretty good. We were playing a team about three towns West of us and they got creamed. However, I still took the common courtesy to personally congratulate each individual team member.
Basically, Random Acts of Kindness is where it's at. You feel great, and you make other people feel great.
On the flip side, there are plenty of people in the world who seem overly eager to blame people for their problems. Those people should probably try harder to focus on the positive and take responsibility for the negative!!! A little gratitude goes a long ways! Great video!
Yes, after you make a few thank you calls, it's time to call the other list and tell 'em off. But that was a vlog by johnreagannumber1 (if you missed it, check it out - great rant).
I do occasionally thank people on YouTube for influencing my life for the better, but I don't do it often in person... if at all. Then again, it's mostly music that helps me out and it's hard to thank a musician without being seen as 'one of the many thankful persons'.
Even as "one of the many" it's important and valuable - even if the person is somehow overwhelmed with people thanking them. But, yeah, sometimes it is hard to say it when it just seems overdone and trite.
I often do take a few moments out of my day to thank people. I think it's important to do it timeously. Equally important is the apology, the other side of the equation. I should get better at those........ probably too late for the big one I owe you!
That was nothing - I didn't even think I was trying to do Jimmy. If I really wanted to make an ass of myself I would have done a scene from the film ;^)
Commented on Andy's vid that recently I told my doctor how much I appreciated how he had helped me regain my health these past 20 months. His face lit up and I realized that people don't tell doctors that stuff because they take it for granted.
It's so true - We take good performance for granted. Most professionals (doctors or whatever) only hear from the small percentage who are upset and never hear from the greater number who are happy with the service. In fact, that reminds me of a story... another vlog! (when I get the time...)
When I was actually vloggin more I think I may have influenced 1 or 2 people, maybe. My purpose recently has just to share my drawings, I may do other things as well, not necessarily trying to influence anyone though. I think that would be presumtious by anyone :)
Certainly, it would be presumptuous to assume what we do here is to influence people. That's why I think it's important to thank those people who just happen to inspire us through their actions without any expectation of return. Sharing drawings can certainly influence people!
Weird, but not that weird. There's so many great people on here it's impossible to catch everybody. I still find channels that, while new to me, have 839 or so videos posted!
I like that idea of the George Bailey effect. If only we could see what Jimmy Stewart did we might all think better of ourselves.
I also totally agree with you about taking this idea back into the real world & thanking people there. Let's not forget that we're real people here as well :)
Well, I think there are those who'd dispute the idea that we're "real" people. But we do interact with real people on occasion and it's good to keep the earthlings happy.
I'm glad I came across you again.. searched for kenrg severall times, but found nothing on videos OR channels, so thought you had closed shop.. but then I found your comment on a pappystu video, so subscribed quick as I could.. :) In a long ago past you may have known me as KurtGnu.. :)
Well, you've been here long enough to know the drill by now.. Can't promise I watch all and comment.. et.c.. but I will when I can!! Won't be on YT much over the next couple of weeks though, pending my sons imminent surgery.. but at least now I've hit the orange button, chances have increased manifold that I'll get to see your videos at some point.. :)
I cannot say anyone has begun doing things on Tuberland because of me... Though almost 30 years of hunter education and archery education were a different matter... I value this experience... slobbery blubbery comment for you and Andy... *VEG*
Interesting.

What a great idea, Ken! I think I'm going to thank my sister, who inspired me to travel the world and try living somewhere besides where I grew up.
