  • what is the best mode for taking macro in s95 ?

  • its a great camera i got one too

  • for the first and two photos, use Macro focus with press Macro button and choose Macro focus.

  • for the first two photos, did you use auto or manual focus?

  • My god insects are disgusting KILL THEM WITH FIIIIIIIRE

  • If the S95 had a better battery life, a 15x zoom (or longer) and 1080p video recording i whould get it!!

  • @giantiger12

    It does shoot in 1080p

  • @WayToLongUsername Well.. The new S100 shoots 1080p.. But the S95 only shoots 720p..

  • @giantiger12 how much is a s100 and how much is a s95 ?

  • Some of those picture were not taken with the S95. I own the camera and use it often for macro.. The first Dragonfly and Butterfly were not taken with the S95. It does not have that capability. I do believe that the fly picures could of been taken with the S95.

  • @mrmoosealot I suspect they have used some of the third-party stick on lenses (that literally stick onto the front of the S95) to magnify the macro ratio.

That way they can still claim it was taken with a S95.

  • @mrmoosealot

They can absolutely have been with the S95. I have taken 7-10,000 pictures with the S95 and you can really push the macro, it a superb camera with superb image quality.

  • can u do reverse for that, like focusing on the background and what's on d front goes blurred?

this was taken how many inches away from the subject?

  • can u do reverse for that, like focusing on the background and what's on d front goes blurred?

  • If you select Auto Mode. When the camera moves close-up to flower, butterfly, dragonfly and more, Canon PowerShot S95 changes to macro mode.

If select P, Tv, Av, M and C Mode. You can set Macro Focus with Macro Button (Macro, Normal and Manual Focus). When zoom and background far away, background will be blurred.

  • how do you do macro on this camera?

  • @GeGeMus12 There's a button on the back dial labelled MF and has a flower symbol. Click that until it switches from Normal/Manual/Macro.
