I think this song illustrates how image-centered our world is but how, in the midst of all that, experiencing Jesus and God's love makes us heart-centered instead. :) I don't need to see God's face to see that He's beautiful, because I know that His love is beautiful.

On the Face of Love video, I though It was inspired until the last image of Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, a misguided communist sympathzer who was complicit with Fidel Castro in the overthrow of Cuba. How could you put a crown of thorns on his image to make it look like Jesus Christ. Che ordered up to four thousand executions performing some himself with a pistol shot to the victim's brains. Saddened and appalled by the inclusion of this image.

Baptist or Pentecostal or whatever, not one of us stands justified before God until we're walking as Jesus did-- until we can recieve those who are distressed just as God recieved us in our distresses. So, until we are living for others, our beliefs and good works and tithes will amount to zero cents when we stand before Him on that Day. That's the main concern... and I am concerned.

Haha, wow. Waterboarding comments during a Christian song? Torture is wrong, and any reasonable person can agree upon that. It obviously did not work, because we would have won the Iraq war. Use this analogy, if a person murders a little, and another murders a lot, they're both still murderers, right?
So whether you torture a little, or you torture a lot, you're still a torturer.

This is one of the areas where many denominations differ in opinion.
As for my belief (as a baptist), I reference the wars that God Himself helped to win. Our best explanation is that God takes the lives of those who will under no circumstances choose to follow the example of Christ and allow Him to save their lives. Hopeless causes, in a nutshell. I believe that as long as the leader he has put in power of a nation (I believe Bush was) is a Christian, his war will be that of God.

You are very wrong with even your own denomination friend... God spoke of infinite hope we are all gentiles and must be reached out to. JC left us with 3 things. Faith, Hope, and Love where is your hope for others your faith in god and your love for others?

I was hoping this would happen about a week after I posted that. It did not come out as I intended. All baptists do not agree with that statement. I meant to say that I don't believe God would ever allow a person who has yet to decide on their faith to die prematurely.

I can agree with the first part easily enough. But the second bit I've got trouble with. God doesn't call us to be citizens of nations, he calls us to be citizens of the world. As in, "Love your neighbor. ALL of them." And I can't see how soldiers on the other side (VC, Taliban, Soviets, etc.) are so different from US soldiers.
Anyway, that's how I feel. Sorry if I come across as a jerk...I don't mean disrespect. I would love to talk about this more with you, but I'm apparently out of sp

Wow ur gonna have me thinking for a while about how to try answer that qs...
God sacrificed his son because he LOVES us so much. America doesn't sacrifice soldiers because they truly LOVE their own citizens so much. Also wev'e been forgiven for our sins now whereas sacrificing soldiers lives doesn't mean anyone is forgiven. I would rather be bombed to death and know my sin is forgiven than to live in peace with my sins unforgiven. Forgiveness of sin is the ultimate sacrifice.

I love this video. It reminds me that everyone can get saved, if they want to be. Unfortunately there are a lot of people who don't. But there are a lot of people who do, too. I think that's want we have to remember. :)
