A toreador is a coward. I've seen a docu and before the show begins they put grease in the bulls eyes so that it can't see enough. Another thing they do is giving it saltwater so it is very weak and the toreador won't get hurt. They also lock the bull up in a room that is totally dark and then let it go in the arena so it is disorientated, the bull is seeking a way out and that's why he will attack.
This is a sick tradition and people who like this are not normal, they have a mental problem !

Here in mexico i have been to a lot of them and the ceremony before it starts and they dont do anything of the things you said, my aunt actually works in the arena and he puts them in the room they are before they come out and its not even dark. They have to do something to the bull like stab it or semething because if they dont do anything to them they wont attack or do anything.

An awful practice. The EU should issue laws against this sort of animal abuse. Dog "fighting" used to be a "tradition" in Europe, and they ended that "poor man's sport". Don't care if bull fighting is traditional or not, animal abuse sows the seeds for human abuse, sows the seeds for all other abuse kinds, once we live in a world free from all abuses kids won't be taught to abuse. Dog righting and bull righting it much more common in America (both north and south) than in Europe. I live in the u.K and we don't have any sort of bull fighting, but in the U.S they have "bull fighting schools"

I am spanish, I never went to a bullfight and never had any interest on it, I simply dont give a shit about it. But I wonder how foreign people judge and critize something they have simply no clue about. Of course its savage cause the point is to kill an animal in front of people. But think that they use a sword to kill a 550 kg brave animal. I dont think that using a sniper rifle to kill a deer at 300m distance is less critizable than this.

Sniper rifle at 300m + deer = quick death, no spectacle, no suffering,no humiliation.
Sword + 550kg bull = slow, painful death, merely for the spectacle.
If u compare the weapons used to the size of the bull it would be like killing a man with knitting needles and a potato knife. There is almost no slower and more humiliating death imaginable for the bull. Hunters are not sure they will get a kill, Bull fighters know for sure the bull will die, and with alot of spectacle, as slow as possible.

I see a lot of hipocresy in critics with bullfight. There is no humiliation for the bulls. Bulls are cheered after dying, and if theyre very brave theyre released and cured which is the highest recognition a bullfighter and bullraiser can ever have.
Bullfighting lovers dont enjoy the suffering or dying of the bull if you can't understand that don't judge bullfighting.

If the purpose of this was making the bull suffer, there are millions of ways of doing it harder. Again you have no idea what u talk about. The bull is punished at the beggining to make him weaker and make him act aggresively. Once the bull is too exhausted he's finished in the fastest of the ways. If it has a fast death the matador gets recognition from the crowds. Yeah, you could use an AK-47 or a lethal injection but that would be like getting married in jeans and tshirt.
