This is really a prodigious event. There are seasoned professionals playing, but there are also child prodigies...and the conductor himself. I was looking at the end when George Li took the bow...really all of the prodigies should have taken a bow...including the conductor. This is a celebration of gifts.
a good conductor of the more traditional and pre 20th century music, ill give him that. however, i find that his compositions lack depth, originality, and are far too traditional for the 21st century musical world. sure i am a modernist when it comes to music, but i am quite fond of the more traditional pieces written in their respective eras of music. this right here is regressive. it would be like someone writing like back in the midst of the late romantic.
@Grothmanus : but it his pre 20th century taste sounds more epic and meaningful compared to our music today, which is vague and has a repetitive meaning. ''I hate him/her because s/he cheated on me, i'll get better", "i promise you i love you", "i'm good-looking, hey i break rules" and so forth. Also, it just has the same beat or rhythm.
Incredible! These prodigies and Alexander Prior are going to take the world by the balls. Amazing composition and godlike talent = WIN!

My mistake. I thought the Chinese pianist was George Li.

@Grothmanus and i retract my statements on his musical interpretations. they are juvenile and they need much work.
