Though obito seems the most plausable i believe tobi is really orochimaru with all his crazy forbidden sciences i think he could gain control of all those eye techniques and master them.(spoiler) madara has been brought to battle via impure ressurection)

Because at the end of Naruto manga 396, the hint that they give about the next manga says, "Tobi/ Uchiha Madara finally shows his face...and speaks of the "truth" about Itachi?! What is Madara's plot? Next time, Afterglow." Plus when Itachi was talking about Madara when he was fighting Sasuke, Itachi pointed out that Madara was Immortal. He did not come out and say that, but thats how I took it.

@ShadowShinobi319, @TheDommeran , i dont think tobi is madara or obito, i think one of the bodies kabuto had in a coffin was the real madara, and after reading issue 500, i think tobi, who wears the mark on his mask which looks like the eddy uzumaki clan is actually from that clan, a clan with " long life spans" , i think he took obitos other eye, and is not an uchiha at all.

Hmm...In a manga chapter a Sharingan Mirror Wheel appeared in Tobi's eye hole, no? So there is a very high chance that your theory is correct. In my opinion, (and in many others) I believe Tobi is Madara and the true leader of the Akatsuki. Because in that same chapter, Itachi DID say Madara created the Akatsuki. So...There's my point.
