Yeah, it wasn't his fault more than anyone else. He tried singing with the band at the beginning but didn't continue when he saw BoA not doing so, and then they were both too frazzled to focus the rest of the song. They both look pretty upset by the end of it. :(

If you listen closely, he makes a little noise at the beginning before looking at BoA as if to say, "Oh, we're not going to go ahead and do it anyway?" Maybe it was the backing track or something, but the mic was close enough to his mouth that it could have been him starting to sing.

What happened was that the band started playing the song from the middle of the song and not the beginning, so everyone was confused.

Boa should have just sang without the background track. Most people wouldn't have even noticed. She's a professional so she could have pulled it off.

It was still an ok performance, I think the awkward beginning threw them both off. =/

This is a duet. If she sang, how come she connect with Daichi + the band as well? --> plus this is like a high-class event, not the usual concert with every kind of people. Hence, Just wait for them to fix the problem rather than sing it with weird collab, vocals, etc

The electronic background track didn't come in properly in the beginning... hence only the live band was playing... BoA realized this and was like WTF??

if you notice the second time around, the band AND the electronic instrumental was playing at the same time. The first time around, only the live band was playing.

is it just me or did miura-san ruin the song? or was it the sound technical person who didnt mix miura-san's singing right? like his singing didnt blend well into the song here. unlike in the PV where the song sounds so much better.
