Bob Schieffer tells it like it is. If I ran my business as poorly as congress does there

job, I would have been bankrupt years ago. A nine percent approval rating is just

terrible to say the least. What the hell are they being paid all that money for anyway?

I agree that the supreme court said lobbying is legal, but they went against the constitution by allowing it... Lobbying should be illegal at the federal level... Only the state governments are legal to lobby...

2) 3rd Party System

3) No more US bases

4) Get rid of the Neo-Cons

5) Replace everyone

@SilentmanX3 Your #1 suggestion will simply get blown out of the water right away! The US Supreme Court has said in the past that Banning Lobbyists is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

How can the problem be solved if politicians become selfish, dependant and corrupt and does not represent the people or do the right thing? The US is seriously becoming a Fascist State and it will only get worse if someone does not do something

political response? this is the political response. Just over half of all americans are employed by the government or receive benefits of some kind. how do we get fiscal consolidation, let alone policy to reverse the trade deficit and not just the less consequential, but still quite dangerous federal budget deficit, with 80 million boomers already retiring..... we're all expecting a polical miracle in 2012? It will get much much worse.
