There's nothing wrong with his voice, it's great, but the guy is just so unentertaining. He sings cliched ballad songs that we hear on these shows time and time again. And as for Sway, I'd rather see Shaft performing it, let alone Dean Martin!

Joe is exceptional in this video. He can belt out any song and He is better than Musical theatre. Why do some people think he is musical theatre. He can sing Vandross better than him, George Michael better than him and the journey song he sung enabled the group to bring out the original song and get it to the top. Portuguese idols are quite better (some of them only, of course). Go and search for Carolina Torres(feeling good), Filipe Pinto(high and dry), Diana or Catarina Boto (Sweet Dreams). And Ines Laranjeira, but in the shows she isn't as good as in the castings phases (Big Spender).

But congratulllations! He is also an excellent singer!

I checked out Filipe Pinto "high and dry", and still can't see the comparison. Joe has a better voice, look, and stage presence than Filipe. Just now checked Catarina Boto, she sings very well for her age but throws those cries and special effects into her voice that make her come across as amateurish.

Seems like a really nice kid. Having said that I think he may struggle long term, he may not be different enough from Gareth / Will to have long term appeal.
