Still got their Big In Alaska vhs...pure comedy with the influential hair cut interview and the cute drummer droning on about the boomar (sp)...all about the hyper keyboard player, used to pause it on him during the real real real video... Ace!!! X
Yes great stuff, i have Als Fender Bass as seen here, and he has signed it.....Jesus Jones Official Bass haha , he said it was used in 1989/1990 and he used it on Liquidizer
I have such fond memories of this band. I saw them several times, the first being in support of The Wonder Stuff in 1989.... Mike Edwards sold me a T-Shirt at that gig (but it was a Stuffies shirt i bought - oops)
huhu i forgot about these guys lol....just thinking how similar they sound to PWEI Pop Will Eat Itself it never crossed my mind back then....damn i must be getting old...wonder what these guys are doing now hmmm?
God I had quite good taste in music for a twelve yr old! Weird...been asked in my rehab by inmate/peer whether I'm a punk or a goth! It's sooo much more complicated than that innit?
1989?!!!? Ii remember they were interviewed on radio 1 when this was out and they were a new band, they ran a competition for people to send samples in for a chance to win a place for it in one of their songs. Happy days
Get Loaded in the Dark hits the Coronet on Thursday 1st April 2010 and is set to be another sell-out episode!

Man what a song! A dude called Chris Nichols introduced me to J.J. when we were at Crewe & Alsage college back in 89 - 91, Info Freako was an anthem back then.
Good God Now i feel OLD this was out 20 years ago when i was 20 years of age. Oh Bloody eck, Still got it on 7" 12" and remixes. and god knows how much other Jesus Jones stuff , All the box set singles , poster 12"s I even hada food records T shirt from the ULU concert
@TheGend what a great comment :-) back in the good old days great bands like this emerged by working hard to create something that was fresh, new and imaginative. Sadly the record companies thought that they knew everything and sacrificed diversity and talent for todays plasticised freakshow of pop idol and X factor. The result created a lacklustre and unimaginative fan base of lambrini swigging territorial sheep too lazy to go out and discover music for themselves.
Totally bored with 80s music, then this was released. A great combination of punk energy, dance rhythms, samples and sort of psychedelic melody lines. Thank you Jesus.
i was watching a mountain bike vid that used this track as its background audio and it brought back amazing memories! jesus jones were one of my first gigs and blew me away. so much energy. cheers!
haven't heard this in years... my cassette died a long while ago - I'm always amazed how powerful music it - I'm 16 again for 2 min and 55secs - Thanks for posting.
this was and still is my JJ fave track - back in the mosh pit kicking, ,sweating, bouncing, diving just going ape with nothing else on my mind but this euphoric sound
I can't find the B-side "Damn Good At This" anywhere (in my opinion, their best and just a tic in my mind above this gem) Anybody know where I could find it?
This is NOT today's indie scene. This track is about 17 years old! If you're unable to relate, then check out the Diesel Park West version (Food Records Christmas Ep) You will love and understand this great song better perhaps, when it is presented in a form which doesnt alienate your sensibilities. Whichever way you get it though, this is still a great song, capturing the essence of the absurd level of competativeness which the post-80's has engendered and the info-mania which it presaged.
dull ??? postmodern fog took over with its utter lack of revolt... the tame wishy washy generation without the guts for revolution. I remember when this came out and now we've got a video cam for every 14 people in the UK... and you cant even wipe your arse on electronic money. Never too old to dance or riot !
Ace track, just wish PWEI had done it...

You shouldn't feel old. You should feel proud for having good taste in music back then.
I feel YOUNG. I'm only 17. The fanbase surrounding many of my favorite bands is all about 10-20 years older than me.
I'm the weird one in my high school lol.
