  • I hear this and it makes me want to grab my axe and start cleaving hippy skulls.

  • albannach isn't going to be at the highland games this year

  • Is GFM Gaelic Folk Metal? ROCK!

  • @stopglobalswarming GFM stands for Grandfather Mountain where they host the highland games in MacRae meadows. Also, I'm proud to be a descendant of the MacRae clan. :)

  • Awesome! What is this piece called?

  • Alba gu bràth!

  • sa dechire j aime

  • Incredible. Don't know how they got them to this little Renaissance Faire I saw them at today, but they totally made it worth more than the ticket price. The energy was amazing.

  • if the white folk could just stop dancing we'd stop being laughed at.

  • @sifudancrawford If whites were free there would be no one to laugh at but those not dancing.

  • amazing!

  • Saorsa!!!!!!!

  • hia gave me his tamberene

  • I saw them in Edinburgh in 2006. Posted a vid also of that.

  • That is some seriously high energy stuff going on there!!

  • Cool.

  • I was at this and they were the highlight of the games they were absolutely amazing

  • This rocks. Brings me back to the 17 hundreds.

    Thanks!

5 stars and added to faves.

  • I's still trying to figure out how to describe their performance at Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina last week.

Just buy some great speakers and blow them out.

It's the only way to really hear this.

  • Much better than heard before

  • Alba Gu Brath! Much better than heard before of this group.

  • Great music to jump around to and even better for going into battles!!

Down with the illegal union, ALBA GU BRATH!!

  • seen them after the john mclean march in thornliebank. AMAZING!!!!

  • I have seen this band perform like 5 times, and it gets better evrytime.:)The kick ass!!

  • i was there, and i ll be there this sat. I love this band

  • Can you do any better pal?

  • The Piper won the MOD a few years back and can bend notes like no one else. I have played with these guys during the Edinburgh Festival. You are a "tool"

  • I think i used to know the piper lol. If its who i think it is ee got kicked out of Paisley pipe band when i just started lol.

Seen these guys at competitions and their amazing.

  • For the bloke, chanterdan, THIS IS NOT STUPID, MORE LIKE INCREDIBLY AMAZING. You, dear sir, should not even graze their site, kinda like unworthy !!!!!!!

THEY ROCK AND IT WAS A PRIVILEDGE TO WATCH THEM PERFORM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • I WAS THERE

  • the engerythat these guys make is crazy. I saw them in '05 at the Highland Games in New Hampshire and it was only Aya, Kyle, Jamesy and Donnie and that alone was a blood rush. it has such a primal feel to it. Best Show I've EVER been to

  • I was there

  • this is stupid!!

  • Pretty good stuff done by them, it's true. Would also recommend Peat-Bog faeries and Deaf Shepherd to anyone who likes Scottish Celtic rock...AND, of course, the inimitable Wolfstone!

    Slainte!

  • This band kicks ass..Do they have a CD out? would Love to buy it

  • awesome but where is Tu-baaaardh?

  • Tu-bardh Stormcrow Wilson is co-founder/member of Clann an Drumma. Same style of music, different group. ;)

  • True - but a few years ago some of these (Jamesie, Donnie, Jacqui and Davie) were in Clann An Drumma with Joe and Tu-Bardh, we played with them in Maloy, Norway. Later the Clann split and reformed with new players, and these also took a couple and became Albannach. Nutcases, the lot of them :)

  • Aya Thorne, and Kyle gray were in Clann an Drumma as well. I think the split was the best thing that happened to them. Albannach rocks, and CAD sucks now. Their piper is pathetically horrible. Their sound (Albannach's) is much more tribal now than it ever was before. I love these guys. I have met them a few times and they have always been so kind and great to me! A MAN IN A KILT IS A MAN AND A HALF!

  • You said it man. I didn't realise Aya and Kyle were in CAD as well, must have been after we played with them in summer 2004. Or maybe they just couldn't make that particular festival...this brings back memories, they had me playing next to Jacqui and the volume she gets hitting that thing WITH MARACAS is incredible!

  • Wish I'd been there!
