  • BADASS.

I was expecting half range of motion and some jerking but that was perfect man awesome job much respect.

  • impressive...but very stupid......you are putting a lot of stress on your most critical joint.....

  • @godanddevilsucks

If he can do it 5 times with full range of motion then he is not stressing it more than his body can handle.

  • i can do 1 rep with 135 pounds, and 5 reps of 95. im close!

  • 2 45 pound plates, I'm closing in!

  • awesome! I'll be sure to go to 2 plates next week now... thanks for the inspiration!

  • This wasn't that impressive since it wasn't a pull-up, its a chin up. Chin ups are easier because your biceps are doing a more of the work then your lats. Do a pull up and do this weight, then I will say good

  • @jblove53

nah how about you do chins ups with 132 pounds for 5 full range of motion repetitions . then we'll see. lolol youtube keyboard warriors.

  • @dkblade27 thats easy kid. I wouldn't have commented if I couldn't do more the CORRECT WAY idiot

  • @jblove53

wheres the video of you doing anything close to 132 pound chin ups? OH WAIT YOU HAVE NONE. what a surprise, its another keyboard warrior lololol

  • @jblove53 If you think your biceps are helping significantly when doing a +135lbs chinup you are seriously mistaken.

Yes, chinups are easier in part because the longhead of the bicep is more engaged, but the main reason is the ROM is a more natural movement, allowing for more efficient lat engagement and therefore more weight. The ability to move more weight through a certain range of motion proves that more muscles are being recruited and used.

Keep your bro-science for yourself, please.

  • @agrelon It's a compound movement regardless of your statement. Enough said...

  • @jblove53 And so are pullups... so what's your point?

  • @agrelon chin-ups activate the bicep more. You don't have a argument bro because compounds movements build more mass than isolation any day. You think your biceps are going to be bigger than mine if I just did chin-ups vs your isolation bicep movements? Don't be silly. Do your research before you speak kid

  • @jblove53 So you're talking about using the chinup to build the bicep? If that's what you're on about then I agree 100%. I do weighted chinups myself as my main exercise for lat and bicep development. I didn't mention any isolations...

The point I was making is that you shouldn't criticize the fact that he's doing a chinup instead of a pullup. As I've said, the chinups recruit more muscles, which is why they are easier, and why as a result you can add more weight to them.

  • @agrelon So we both agree lol. 2 different routes to get there but we have the same idea. I'm glad and you are right. I agree with you as well

  • impressive

  • Dude had juice to spare - to be able to think to smile for the cam at the peak of a 135lb chin up x 5.

  • Fabulous pulling. Extreme dedication displayed here.

  • oh crap and I thought I was pretty awesome because I could do 5 pullups with 35. Gotta keep working on it I guess! :)

  • hhhhh poor guy

  • but you are not kipping man that's lame ;-) /sarcasm

  • I'm looking to get a new belt for these and weighted dips because the last one I had ripped after half a year with a lot less weight than this. Anybody know a good, quality belt, or even which belt he's wearing in the video? much apprecieated

  • I can not BELIEVE you busted that last rep out and smiled lol too good man.

  • very nice

  • nice man. I've only been able to hit 5 pull ups with 50lbs, but then again I'm only again and i have a hell of a lot more working out to do in the upcoming years. Hopefully ill be able to get to your level someday

  • Very impressive! Amazing strength and perfect form, huge respect man!

  • Man my 5rm is 50 pounds at a bw of 190 pounds. I have a long way to go to get where u r! lol

  • @simplythebest444

Whats your 1 RM in weighted pull ups?

  • @dkblade27 I believe I've got one with 60 lbs.

  • what dip belt are you using?, mine broke after 25 lbs (dont laugh)

  • Overhand pullups work the lats more directly (they are more difficult because you have less muscle groups firing). Chin ups work the bicep and lats, and you also get the inner back/rhomboids playing a role... Amazing weight bro.. keep it up.

  • @jdog1222f Palms inwards (chin ups) do the lats far more directly, and palms forward (pull ups) start to involve the traps more so as well.

  • thats good.. now try them with a overhand grip..

  • @jdog1222f Why? chin ups works the back more then overhand.

  • Nice job

  • Beast skills!!!

  • Awesome, smooth motion, that's a lot of weight!

  • hey how much do you weight?

  • sir that is impressive, your form is impeccable.

  • OMG! Full ROM! Finally someone who doesn't do partial reps.

I tried this for the first time this week... 25kg x 3 only haha.

  • does doing drop sets help at incresing weight

  • how do you increse your weight when your stuck at like 100

  • see more and more of your vids on youtube and they are are very impressive! If possible would you be able to provide info on routines, stuff like periodizing the weights that have worked for you?

  • good to see proper lock out at the bottom, unlike some videos on youtube.

  • i can strap 20lbs plus mt body weight at 150lbs im 17 my weight going ups quick is this prety good?`

  • That's a pretty good digit! nice one man.

  • good stuff

  • Awesome strength

  • So many can bench press twice their bodyweight or/and squat 3 times their bw. But when it comes to weighted pull ups or just pull ups alone, people struggle. Very impressive bruno082985

  • very strong

  • my personal best is 25kg pull ups 5 times :P

  • i applaud you sir. that was a very impressive feat and your forearms are looking excellent. what is your usual routine with the weighted pull ups?

  • Perfect form on every one... Good shit

  • good shit dude...i like to c people that share the same passion for pull ups as i do haha

  • PERFECT!

  • After Ben said "thank you," the camerman should have replied, "Oh wait. . .okay, now we're going. Any time you're ready."

That video probably would have gotten more than 11,000 views.

  • Very good!!!!

  • legit dude

  • Nice forearms

  • respect man! Did 2 reps (+30kg) then again I'm not as big as you (only 155lb) but something to aim for :)

  • This is my goal. I'm doing +70lbs for 3 reps now at 160lb bodyweight.

  • you jumped the first

    lame O

  • Major respect. holy shit. u worked that last rep like a champ

  • Get some!!

There are ZERO dislikes because everyone knows you can't cheat on these/kip with a beastly amount of weight like that, he goes chin above for sure and full extension at the bottom. Props to you bro. Motivating shit for bicep day for me.

  • very impressive and finally someone that knows how to do a real pullup. You never see anyone anymore going all the way down and all the way up even on a bw pullup.

  • oh my god thats crazy! good job!

  • Impressive, hey do you ever get pain in your left elbow from doing these I only use one 45lb plate and do about 10 reps for chins and my left elbow hurts like hell afterward. Just wanted to know if you ever delt with this and how you worked through it?

  • Fucking impressive shit

  • Dude, I'm pretty impressed with that last rep. All the way up plus a short static hold. Not bad!

  • Fuck thats strong, good stuff

  • good shit

  • 2 reps more than my best day. and better form i might add

  • good effort

  • damn i got to start doing coke

  • @Keyboardbeatz

hahahahha i am laphing right now, good call lol

  • Damn. That's beautiful. I say that on very few videos.

  • Nice smile at the top of the last rep

  • No messing around - good work!

  • Very impressive!

  • damn solid.

  • One strong motherfucker. Nice work.

  • Hell yeah!

  • Nice to see that you didn't have to mention your BW as total weight and mislead people into thinking you were lifting more. ie 132+190?=312? total. fully extended arms too, best weighted chins video I've seen yet.

  • Damn. Nice job, man!

  • Now that's how you do chinups

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • thats some crazy gains in a yr! whats your routine for back chins ect?? sets/ reps how often? im stuck in a rut so would be good to hear what you do

  • Damn impressive man!

  • great job! super strong!

  • wow, your a monster man

why 132 not 135, you subtract a couple pounds since your entire hands aren't technically pulling you down or ???

  • @nba8340 probably plates are marked in kg as he has in parenthesis, 60kgs of plates convert to 132 lbs not 135.

great set though. really cheesin' at the top of that last rep haha

  • @snownskateguy true good eye, some crazy strength right there

  • @nba8340

kilograms don't convert perfectly to pounds. So the 60 kilos he is lifting converts to 132 pounds.

  • @mcginsb yea

  • is your muscle mass even?>> or do you have one big side and one small side.

  • You are very very strong!!!
